Brilliant quality, good value for money with good sound.
I bought these headphones 3 years ago. They are still in perfect working order, no rips tears or cracks which aren’t through rough usage in a warehouse- they often would be dropped or kicked when dropped by accident and they have survived perfectly fine. I paid the full price (£130) when I purchased them and I’d be happy to pay that again for them, they’re of high quality and good value for money when they last the way they have. The sound quality to me is perfect, you can adjust the noise cancelling and whichever filter you’d like on it and can triple tap the side button for bass boost if that’s what you’re looking for. They’re compact and easy to throw in a backpack or put on your head/carry as they’re very light weight. The connectivity range on them isn’t the longest, maybe a meter if you’re lucky. They do start to get a bit crackly after that but when your phone is in your pocket, there’s never an issue. They’re easy to connect to a device for listening also and the app is easy to use.

Good Noise Cancellation
Bought these primarily for noise cancellation, as I have the misfortune of living next to neighbours with zero consideration - at 6am, 7-days a week pretty much! These headphones cancel out nearly all the banging, shouting/screaming and musical instruments I'm subjected to so just what I needed. I'm a very light sleeper, made worse lately with heightened anxiety, so for the past few days I've slipped the headphones on just before 6, turn them on, and just have the NC mode running - no music. You can only hear a very subtle, gentle wave-like sound, which enables me to drop back to sleep for another hour (or 2 if it's the weekend and I'm lucky!)The headphones don't quite cancel out the kitchen worktop hammering I'm subjected to every morning, which vibrates up the adjoining wall through 3 floors as they pulp their breakfast (frozen smoothie methinks!), but it does reduce the startling volume at least!I found I can lay in bed with them on and still sleep, despite them being over-head earphones and quite bulky, both on my back and on my side. They're pretty comfortable and well-cushioned.Though my main objective for purchasing these was for noise cancellation, I have listened to music as well late at night and the quality is excellent. I'm not a music sound expert, however, but these are more than adequate for my needs. My music tastes vary but mainly soul/jazz/funk/reggae. I'll also enjoy taking them on holiday with me this year so will get good use out of them and the battery life seems great too.Hope this helps anyone needing to get a bit of respite from anti-social neighbours, as well as some good sound quality for other purposes. These are worth investing in! Just wish I'd bought them sooner.

Great headphones for price and better than top competitors
I previously had soundcore q30s which I owned for 2 years. I wanted new headphones as they were starting to perform at a lower quality.I tried out the Sony XM4 (purchased at £202) and the soundcore q45 (purchased at £98).Review on XM4Cons:- Battery life is ridiculously bad. Even with settings such as voice control and DSEE switched off the headphones only lasted around 10 hours. This is not even for a full workday for me, including my commute. A drastic difference from my soundcore q30 headset which lasted about 30 hours.- The music quality of these is very weird. The bass is good but actual lyrics seem to sound in a whispered state and not as clear. Even when I changed my settings it was still not amazing and this again impacted my battery life.- During work I like to connect to my laptop and my phone. My laptop for when I have my meetings and my phone to listen to music. This headset struggles to be connected to two devices at once and you have to switch off Bluetooth each time which is tedious.Pros:- These headphones are very comfortable and light I could even sleep in them and they do not get as warm as my previous ones.- The ANC on these is absolutely amazing. Even a bit too good as I could not hear cars which makes crossing the road a bit dangerous lol.Soundcore q45 reviewCons:- ANC performance is probably about 40% worse than the Sony XM4. However the ANC is a lot better than my q30s- the headset material is thicker and not as comfortable which means you sweat a bit more than with the XM4 but it is manageablePros:- amazing battery life of 35+ hours even with all the settings on- much better sound quality. Everything is very clear and soundcore has a fantastic app where you can edit your music preferences in more detail than Sony.- can be connected to two devices easilyConclusion:Considering the higher price of the XM4 though they have some pros they are not worth it.I personally do not mind having headphones with limited ANC as I still like to be aware of my surroundings to a certain degree, I just want to hear less noise during commutes. The main thing for me is battery life and the Sony fail miserably at this.Based on everything there was a clear winner.
