I liked this product but it smells soooo strong of plastic chemicals. I got a headache from it. I’m going to try to air it out for a while before using it and hope it goes away as I really like the recall leash.This leash checks all the boxes. It’s waterproof, it’s thin, it’s lightweight and easy to clean, it’s long and the clasp to attach to the collar is small and lightweight. I have another waterproof recall leash and it’s just too bulky (huge clasp and thicker leash) for my 5lb dog- who seemed to struggle with this.This seems to be well made and I can wrap it up and clasp it together to store without having to use a bungee tie cord like on my previous recall leash. I am neither here nor there regarding the detachable hand part. My dog is too small to use this with. I guess I could use it when grooming him to hold his head up. The only thing I wish for is that this came in black. The blue, although pretty is too bright for my liking, but this was the only color the recall leash came in.I chose this leash as it was the only recall leash I could find anywhere with a 3/8’ width that my little dog could handle.Once I use this I will update. Hopefully it will not get easily tangled and be too hard to manage.

I love biothan, it doesn't get nearly enough credit! And it makes taking my dog out in public or out on hikes so much easier! Every active and out/about dog owners must have!!

I thought biothane didn't get tangled so am a little sad...this defiantly gets tangled :(. I do like the style of the clasps. For a training lead, it's nice to have the ability to clip on a hand hold. Overall I think it's pretty good, functional, waterproof, pretty easy to untangle, good quality clips. I would buy it again as a training lead but expect tangles.

The overwhelming smell of the plastic was the first disappointment when I opened the package. The clasp was also stuck open and needed some WD40 to get it to snap closed. 3/8 is thin, perfect for a very small dog or as a light safety line for a small or easy going dog. I would not test it with a larger dog or strong puller or chewer. The quality equals the low price.

I was so disappointed that my 10-month-old, 60 lb pup chewed through this in 5 minutes. Otherwise, it would've been a nice leash.

I got the smallest width for my 61lb Great Dane puppy who is a service dog in training. It feels a little more slippery than genuine biothane but I like it because it doesn’t have the leatherized texture.
