Crysalis Chaulmoogra (Hydnocarpus Wightianus) Oil - 0.51 Fl Oz (15ml)

An excellent version of this essential oil. Woody smell. A go to for sensitive skin. Very giftable.

The product boasted a strong woody smell. It actually has a very faint smell, which is what I prefer. It doesn't have a strong oily feel to it either. It aborbs quickly. I was disappionted that there were no instructions included to explain the various ways it can be used, and whether or not it was a "carrier oil" needing to be mixed with other things. The minimal information on the bottle and an on the box was so incredibly tiny, I could barely make out some of the print, but nothing was mentioned on "instructions of use." I had to go back to the website and watch the video to learn more about this product. From my understanding, it can be used alone for haircare or can be added to other essentials oils for skincare. The oils recommended to blend with this is are peppermint oil, tea tree oil, and eucalyptus oil. It comes with a dropper, but there's also a stopper inside the bottle that allows for minimal doses. Overall, it seems to be a very good product, mildy scented, and good for skincare. My only suggestion is to include a leaflet explaining the proper uses and dilutions.

Didn't help itchy skin or dry patches.

I've never heard of Chaulmoogra oil but after reading that it's been used for leprosy and helps with eczema & skin issues I was all in. Plus, I recently tried this company (Crysalis)'s calendula floral water and was impressed. This oil comes with a dropper, but I've decided to just use it as is. It has zero scent and the oil is on the thin side and applies without any residue so I think it's a dry oil which is my favorite type of oil. I've been applying it on a scar on my hand that I've been tending to with scar sheet & scar cream so I'm going to try using this alone and see if it improves. This small bottle (1/2 oz) is the perfect size to carry with you and it has the best price at this size. The price on the bigger bottles are a little ridiculous so I encourage everyone to give it a try. It's totally worth it and it arrived packaged impecabbly.

I was not a big fan of the smell and I didn't notice it making my skin or hair improved in any way. It may work better when mixed with other things.

I recently learned about the hydrating properties of okra and the seed, so I was excited to give this a try. It does not disappoint. The scent is light and can definitely be added to other essential oils as a carrier oil or added to other mixes without changing the aromatherapy. I have chronically dry skin even in the summer, so I'm always experimenting with various oils to increase hydration. I really like this oil. I put a few drops on the back of my hand and rubbed it in, it absorbed quickly leaving it silky smooth without any greasy leftovers. I added a few drops to my other hand and now they both feel so good! Different oils have different hydration properties, this is definitely going to be in my arsenal of DIY concotions going forward!

Was not aware immediately that this product is actually a 'carrier oil' and needs to have some other oil added to it. So need to figure out the secondary oil to add and give it a try. Will need to a bit of time to co-ordinate the 2nd oil and give this time time of use to report more on the results. Interesting oil.

I use this type of oil for skin care and diluting essential oils. The reason I ordered it is the ad stated that it has "with a very strongly woody fragrance. ". I love that type of fragrance. Sadly the bottle that I received has very little/practically no scent at all. It is very disappointing. Hopefully I can find a use for it but it wasn't what I expected at all.
