Very Runny
I had great hopes for this soap. The brand I usually use was not available. I admit I am a price driven shopper but this was no bargain. This was really runny it seemed almost watered down. The smell was not that of lavender. It had a very awful smell. It did lather well and maybe for a cleaner for washing floors or something like that it might be wonderful but I use it as a shampoo and a body wash in my shower. As a shampoo it worked well just that awful smell was just too much.

WHOA!!!
The amount of patchouli smell that’s in this soap is downright awful - and I really like patchouli. There’s enough patchouli fragrance to mask the pot smell of 700 hippies for 3 full months. I can’t use it for a body wash because it’s just too much. The smell makes my eyes water and makes my dogs and cats sneeze until I leave the room (yes, after rinsing it off). I tried using it in my hand soap dispenser and my neighbor asked me half jokingly what I was trying to cover up. Not recommended for working professionals - it’ll likely get you a ticket to the HR department for a urinalysis.

Rip off
BEWARE! This is not a gallon jug. This is less than 1/2 a gallon. My search was for a one gallon body wash. This came up and looked like a gallon jug. It’s only 64 Oz. I will be going back to Dr. Bronner’s.

Not a gallon
Probably not their fault, but I'm still really disappointed. We always buy Doc Bronner's but was looking for a lower cost alternative. Searched Amazon for "Gallon Liquid Castile Soap Peppermint"This seemed the best value, but only because I did not notice it was half the size, actually making it considerably more expensive. Its good soap, not appreciably better/worse than Bronner, but certainly not worth the 40% price premium.
