The Body Shop Ginger Scalp Care Shampoo – For Dry, Flaky Scalps – With Vegan Silk Protein – 400ml

The best shampoo for dry, flakey scalp, I’ve used this shampoo for years and will continue to do so!

This was a bit of a problem through much of my adult life, however after treatment for lung cancer at age 50, what used to be on again-off again dandruff became full time dryness and flakes. Previously I found that one dandruff shampoo worked and that was Nizoral. This no longer worked. My wife bought me this Ginger shampoo from Body Works a couple years ago and it’s made a huge improvement. I no longer have the constant flakes I used to have and can go out without wearing a hat. My wife claims that my bald spot, thin hair up top, and receding hairline have all gotten better. I’m not fully convinced of this but I do think that I’m not losing my hair as quickly. That is a big deal seeing how I’m nearly 60 years old and first noticed my balding at age 30.

I’ve been using this conditioner for a few months now, and it’s become a staple in my routine. I have fine, weak hair that gets tangled easily, and this actually helps smooth things out without weighing my hair down. It leaves my scalp feeling clean and soothed, and brushing afterward is noticeably easier, less pulling and breakage. I like that it’s vegan and doesn’t leave any heavy residue. It’s one of the better conditioners I’ve tried for my hair type. Definitely worth the money!

Love the strong smell of this shampoo. A little runnier consistentcy of product than I expected. Will take some time before I know if its effective or not. Much quicker delivery than expected so that was fab.

As a person who have struggled with dandruff for a long time , this is quite a blessing! I have tried multiple anti dandruff shampoos containing ketaconazole, tar and many other ingredients. But all of them were too harsh on the hair and never really performed. This has a mild ginger scent and has a slight cooling effect on the scalp. I would recommend to use it atleast twice a week with a hydrating conditioner ( as it drys the hair a little) . It contains sulphate so it can affect coloured hair, in that case I would suggest to use it maybe once in 2 weeks alternating with your colour protecting shampoo.
