Works beautifully - added on to the system so you can see the water level and know when to refill without taking the top tank off. Makes the whole system very convenient. It says you don't have to add the ball in but it makes it easier to see if you do (and it's cute:). Worth every penny.

The design is just bad. It’s designed to leak. Rather than fix the problem, Berkey just puts more unhelpful pictures and uninformative text in the instructions. It will still leak because the design is trash. It’s such a simple thing to make, it’s remarkable how badly Berkey did it. And then they slap America’s name on it like it’s something we should all be proud of. A poorly designed trinket. Nice.

I really like the addition of this feature to my small Berky. Seems like a small thing, but the superior quality of the stainless steel spout compared to the cheap plastic. One that came with my original is crazy. I think that for the price we pay for Berkey. We should all get the stainless steel spout from the get-go

Works as it should; easy to install, doesn’t leak. Would be nicer if it were made in USA. Seems to be made of quality materials.

Spigot works very well, now I don't have to lift to check the water level! no leaks so far.

Parfait pour Berkey Crown

Looks great with my modded Berkey Traveler and works a treat. Tip…make sure you tighten the rubber seals and washers real good or it will leak, it’s hard to get it super tight so you need someone with strong fingers, but make sure white seals are on both sides and well flattened against the walls of the stainless steel. It also pours well and fast if you use the bottom canister Anti-Airlock Clip. It a must have to keep a check on your water levels.

Though the standard plastic factory issued one broke (after 7 years), I splurged. The water level is a must, and the metal construction is very well laid out. I find it overpriced, but it stands in my "better quality hardware I use everyday" category. Had Berkey offered it as an option instead of the basic spout, then maybe it would not seem so overpriced in retro.
