Best monitor I've ever owned.
I've had every monitor going and spent years switching between monitors. There's always been something missing and this monitor has everything you will ever need. OLED is the future for gaming and going back to my older games has been a blast. Amazing.

Another level
It's like another level of image. Nothing matches the OLED richness. Despite it's price - worth it.

expensive but good
i have only had the monitor for just over a week and i am loving it. Games look great. i have no issues with the brightness. Friends think it looks great. The 138Hz is when its overclocked. i was in two minds wither to buy this but glad i did so far no complaints.

It's just not ready yet
Sadly, this product is still some way from being ready to be sold to the public... despite the huge price. Various firm ware 'upgrades' have been released over the last couple of months but they seem to be going from bad to worse. Their latest release, V33 mildly improves the wake up issue from power saving but now causes the monitor to jump into power saving mode VERY regularly e.g. when panning an image in PSP or rotating a component in Fusion 360 making it completely unusable. What's more, ASUS have pulled all earlier firm ware from their website so I'm very thankful to have kept copies of the earlier versions to allow me to roll back. If I'd been offered this monitor in this state to help test and de-bug before release, it would be understandable but this is totally unacceptable for any product that's being sold to customers. Let alone one if this price category. Quite frankly, it's a complete disgrace for ASUS to be shipping this product as it is. Very sad as the monitor is stunning and if they'd bothered to finish it properly before release, I'm sure they would have a lot of very happy customers and 5 star reviews...

42" HDR monitor for Mac Studio
I'm using this as my main monitor for a Mac Studio. Used to use a 2017 imac 5K The OLED colours and HDR do look amazing on this screen. Got it connected via DisplayPort Did have some Mac-related issues, volume control and brightness didn't work, I had to install a 3rd party app to adjust volume and brightness (Monitor Control) Mainly use it for Video editing in Davinci Resolve and creating websites in Elementor plus screen recording tutorials. If your workflow is text intensive you should probably look at a different monitor as the PPI is low compared to a 5k Mac screen. Screen recordings look softer too. Video editing and gaming its fantastic, the DCI P3 color gamut is great. Comes with a calibration certificate Updating the monitor firmware is very straightforward, you need a PC to do it, no update software for Mac which is super annoying, had to borrow a windows laptop to update the firmware. Data cable is included in the box. Download a bin file, upload it to the monitor. I'm running version V032. The screen can be very slow to wake up when connected to mac Text is not very sharp even in 4K It usually asks me twice a day to do pixel cleaning which takes around 6 minutes per clean. I have the safety features enabled to prevent OLED burn-in Photoshop and Lightroom Images do look amazing on 42" and the colors totally pop I really hope in the next version of this screen they can increase the PPI for desktop use Ive been getting eye strain and headaches since swapping monitors and that's only when working with text and emails Video Editing, Photo editing and gaming is fine. Will probably wall mount it and use it as a second monitor, get another 5k Mac Studio Display just for text and screen recording If your gonna be gaming or video editing then its fantastic for that

Great OLED, ok HDR, a tad overpriced
Was the best OLED on the market at the time of purchase that was 42" (I would have loved a 38" OLED monitor, but they are not a thing.) HDR is ok, but tend to run for productivity, gaming and video consumption so switching between HRD and SDR is a pain, that said SDR with SRGB is great and since I use in a low light room, it also has exceptional brightness and little to no reflections. I do have most screen protections active, and do a pixel refresh when asked, and again before turning off (yes it does an auto pixel clean if you leave it in standby.) No screen burn use for daily production (writing, and coding) and refresh on average 2-3 times a day) I do tend to use dark mode on most apps, but certainly not all. all in all, pretty happy so far.

Very good WOLED screen. Ended up using the 480hz mode more than I thought I would. Buy this model if you play a lot of competitive games which benefits from high framerates or else buy the QD-OLED model for the Dolby-Vision support. Make sure you have powerful hardware to fully utilize the capabilities of this display or else consider something else.

This monitor is quite amazing and firmware is top notch. 5 stars but I'm exchanging for UCDM model simply because I can control the ambient light environment to gain better contrast and color levels. I prefer the anti reflection coating this monitor has and HDR looks great and handles dark scenes with zero OLED flicker. My only concern is that the colours just didn't hit the mark for me which is pretty much the only drawback I could find with this product. Pros: - Handles bright ambient room light very well -No OLED flicker that I could notice when using in dark scenes when using variable refresh rate -Dual mode function for 1080p in FPS games -HDR in supported games amazing. -Super high peak brightness Cons: -Frequently selling above MSRP for whatever reason -HDR didn't hit the mark on unsupported games and further desaturated colors. (Disabling HDR mostly fixed this) -Colour aren't as vibrant and noticeably lacking compared to cheaper high quality IPS gaming monitors.
