Came down one morning in Summer heat and humidity to find little brown ants in area where my dog’s food bowls are placed. Further inspection found them hard at work in other spots as well. Obviously I wanted something safe that my small dog couldn’t get into. Within two days of four traps placed strategically out of dog sight, No sign of ants!

About the size of a 50 cent piece, very hard and durable product. I don’t have so worry about my cats breaking it open and getting the bait out. There are small spots that can easily be popped open to create openings for the ants can go into. Only thing is, it doesn’t seem to work for large black ants.

These do not work. I have had them out for more than two weeks, and I still have little black ants in my kitchen, in the same areas I was seeing ants (which are never an issue in my home) before I placed the baits. I have THREE in my kitchen on the countertops and stove, and still see these pests every day. If they are supposed to carry the bait back to the Queen and kill the colony, it isn't happening. What is so odd is that they will walk all around the baits, but never seem to go INSIDE and take any bait! They certainly do not seem attracted to the bait traps at all! VERY disappointed, and now need to try a different brand that uses a different any poison.

I would give these 10 stars if I could!!! We had ants after my toddler dropped a goldfish cracker under the table and it went unnoticed. We killed the ants and they came back again and again and again. I purchased these and set 2 outside by my front door and 2 outside by my back door and we haven’t seen an ant in the house since!! Warning though, when I opened the Amazon box, the ants had infiltrated it!

I just put one for the first time today in the kitchen window well to see if it keeps the hundreds of little black ants out of our kitchen. But after reading the instructions on the box that say to push in the little perforated hole before using. You mean the tiny little flap cut into the side of a metal can? And how does ortho expect us to do that, especially reading all of the warnings on the box about how not to let any of the contents come in contact with you. Even with a fork I had a hard time pushing in 1 of the flaps (the other 3 were too stiff to safely push in). I guess I couldn't have poked around in the garage for something pointy and hard, but who has time. That is the reason for deducting stars so far. We'll see tomorrow if the ants are back.

Tiny ants appeared in my pantry for no apparent reason. These unwanted guests were numerous, active, and annoying since they were in a food prep area. They had to go. Day 1 after I laid out the bait, well, I didn't pay that much attention. Day 2, I noticed about 15 dead ants and 2 or 3 live ones. Day 3 - nothing. All gone. I assume the queen and her colony have been eliminated since there has been no ant activity for over a week now. As a precaution, I washed my hands after handling the container, of course, and I left it in a spot that had activity but wasn't near food. I have the same container located on the kitchen floor now and will keep it there until and if I need a replacement. Only drawback is that you have to punch holes in the metal container, but that's really not a big deal. A screwdriver works for this. I was afraid the ants were too small to get into the bait effectively, but the product somehow worked even on these minuscule pests. Highly recommend.

The only anti ant product I’ll used in my kitchen & bathrooms. Easy to use. Hasn’t made my pets ill.kills ants within a day and keeps them away for months!Gave half to my neighbor and she had similar good luck. Can’t find these locally, only the super toxic ones.
