The KETO Soup Bowl: 50 delicious fat-burning, health-boosting bowls of soup, chowder, hodgepodge, gumbo, stew, and gazpacho Review: I love this cookbook - I love this cookbook! Not only are the recipes amazing, but it’s delightfully entertaining to read as well. I have been keto for 9 months and have been missing Thai food, especially Tom Ka Gai soup. Carrie’s Thai Coconut Chicken Soup recipe is spot on and tastes exactly like the best Tom Ka Gai I’ve had. So far I’ve made it twice: the first time was a single batch, the second was a double batch and my husband and I ate.it.all! It’s obvious Carrie Brown has gone to great lengths to create recipes that are easy to make, require few “unusual” ingredients, are healthy, and taste great! You won’t be disappointed in either the final product or the entertaining nature of the book. Review: My favorite cookbook for my Keto lifestyle. - My 3rd Carrie Brown cookbook and my current favorite, however each time I buy a new one I am blown away by the creative genius that is Carrie Brown. We are so fortunate in the Keto /low carb world to have Carrie keeping us inspired with fabulous recipes, that are so easy and yet the results are gourmet quality. She opens up so many options in the world of comfort food soups, that you thought were out of range once you made the transition to Ketogenic eating. Thanks Carrie trying to decide which one is going to be my fourth acquisition.

Good if you like vegetables which I do not........
We tried several recipes and didn’t care for almost all that we tried. I don’t care for most vegetables so that’s probably why since there are quite a bit in each recipe. If you like vegetables then you’ll probably enjoy this book. I love Carrie Brown’s ice cream book. Haven’t tried any of her other books yet but see lots of praise for them all.

The one and only author you need for all of your Ketogenic recipes!
As always, the AMAZING Carrie Brown has out done herself with amazing delicious recipes for those who follow a Ketogenic way of eating! I have all of her cookbooks now, and look forward to any news ones she may publish!

Not my favorite. Very little ingredient appeal - wish I could have had a better preview.
I'm not sure how to rate this cookbook. I didn't make enough of the recipes to judge the flavor and here's why: I was looking for some quick, easy "normal" Keto soup recipes. I have to tell you the BISCUIT recipe in the back is to die for! Most of the soups really don't appeal to me - not that they might not be delicious if one were to make them, but they just didn't appeal - not even to make one to try them. The one recipe I did make was good. I love her use of Konjac (?) flour and that opens up a whole new possibility of thickeners for me. But the cookbook is really expensive for what you get. If I loved the recipes or were even inclined to make them, I'd wholeheartedly agree that TO ME, it was worth the price. But over $20 for a biscuit recipe and some tips is a bit steep for my budget. I probably won't buy any other of her cookbooks. There are other authors and recipes that appeal to me more. This rating has nothing to do with the look of the cookbook (which is very self-published looking, but not unappealing) - it's strictly regarding the ingredients and the recipes. I think I prefer chunky soup recipes with lots of veggies and I just didn't get that with this cookbook.

The recipes in this book are interesting, however the advice is poor and often contradictory. The author states that she does not provide macro data as it "unreliable" and stresses that one should not use an online calculator. In the very next paragraph she goes on state that you can get macros by using "a reliable online calculator". Which is it? It would be far better if she stated Macro guidance and supplied ±% error margin. The lack of this data is a glaring omission. The recipes are interesting and the directions are ok and simple enough. I would suggest that there are better books out there, but this, worryingly, is not the worst Keto book out there, even accounting for the books myriad spelling and grammar errors.
