Reversible Face Down Pillow After Eye Surgery, for Use by Vitrectomy, Macular Hole and Retinal Detachment Patients During Recovery, with Height Adjustable Stand & 3 Chest Pads

I had surgery to repair a hole in my retina and had to be in a face down position for 7 days. I purchased 3 different 'cushions' in preparation for this surgery, but this one was excellent. I could adjust the position of my face, and as it was a bit larger than my face I used one of the small cushions to support my chin. I was able to lie on my tummy and sleep, or listen to audio books or the radio while using this. It's advisable to put a pillow under your hips and lower abdomen to stop pressure on your breasts if you're a woman, and it helps prevent pain in the small of your back. I definitely recommend this product if you are having to have eye surgery which requires face down posturing for any length of time. I tried it out a few times before my surgery so that I'd adjusted it to suit me and to get used to it, which really helped, as I didn't have to adjust it after surgery when all I wanted to do was lie down. I also cut out several cotton covers for it so that I could keep it clean and fresh as there was a heat wave during the time I was having to posture face down. I found them better than the covers that came with it as they were cooler and could be thrown in the washing machine. I just used an old cotton sheet and pinking shears. It really deserves 5 stars. I'd like to convey my thanks to the manufactures and designers for this well thought out product which actually works.
