Nice Unit
This backpack sprayer is constructed very well. The parts and hose are high quality. I used it with 30 Seconds Cleaner on my roof. I was able to adjust the nozzle as needed to spray another 10 feet up from an A-frame ladder. If you need to spray any further than that, you will need to make other plans. Pumping the sprayer is also a breeze. It took me about 5 - 10 minutes to get used to the operation of the unit and it was smooth sailing from there. If you follow the directions for taking care of it, I can see it lasting for many years. I also like the fact that they sell replacement parts if parts wear out.

I'd recommend it. Just make sure you are clear on your use objectives.
We have many large trees on our residential lot. Consequentially, we get a lot of black mildew on the clapboards/side of house. I had been using a pump sprayer to apply chlorline/water mix. I needed to use a long extension ladder to reach the top of the house, since the pump sprayer did not project very far. It was very cumbersome to use and repump up on the ladder and my balance isn't what it once was. I was looking for a sprayer I could run from the ground. This Chapin works very, very well for that purpose. It works best on your back, even when standing on the ground. It's just easier to manipulate the pump lever. Ihad to pump often because I needed to reach the 2nd story eaves. I would spray, let it sit for 5 minutes, grab the nearby hose and wash it off. The mildew poured off the side. No scrubbing necessary. When I was done (house is beige in color) it looked like the house had just been painted. I was ticked pink. To do a typical two story home took me about 5-6 tank refills (I was very meticulous). It was a pain to put the tank on my back, being small and older, but I didn't relish the idea of refilling it more often. Perhaps in time, I'll set it in a wagon and roll it around the house. Pros: fair compromise over a $25 home depot sprayer. Very simple to assemble, use, clean and store. Cons: If you are not strong, you may find it hard to put on your back. I'd reccommend this. Don't dis this if it's not the right application for you. It has it's limits and don't expect it to be something it's not. It's not a power washer.

Nice sprayer for the money
This sprayer works great for what I purchased it for which is spraying my house with a water and bleach mixture for cleaning purposes. It has the power to get to the upper roof gable on the 2nd story end of the house (barely but it still gets it done). I've had no issues with leakage or anything else besides the fact that the pump handle won't stay clipped to the pump rod when the unit is stored. the nozzle is easily adjusted with a simple twist. i always rinse thoroughly with clean water and so far have had no issues.

Defective sprayer as delivered, twice!
Unable to install pump handle in base molding as received. Sent the sprayer back. Replacement sprayer had the same issue. Had to remove about 1/8" from the end of the pump handle tube to allow installation of C-clip that retains the handle in the base. Company didn't offer any compensation for fixing and reporting the issue because I bought through Amazon. Once repaired sprayer seems to work okay. If you buy this sprayer, be sure you have a tubing cutter available.

Works well, saves time and sprays about 25’ to 30’.
Yes works really well for reaching high places and speeding up your work. I put 1 gallon of bleach or cleaner and the rest water and quickly clean my house and deck. I spray the area to be cleaned with water first, then use the backpack sprayer and clean with the hose. You can pump this with your left hand while you spray with your right hand to keep the pressure high. I’ve loaned this out a few times and everyone liked it. I was getting prices of $500 and higher to clean, I bought this and some cleaning solution and in four hours cleaned everything myself.

Works well
Good arm exercise. This sprayer doesn't work by pressurizing the whole five-gallon container. It pressurizes a chamber that then powers the spray. You only get a full-pressure burst for about 4 seconds before you have to pump some more. It will spray for several more seconds at lower pressure without additional pumping. It's too heavy for me when filled to its five-gallon capacity. Two gallons (plus cleaner) is about the max for me. But two gallons goes a pretty long way. I'm not sure why the manufacturer doesn't make all their sprayers resistant to bleach. I guess the idea is to give buyers the option to save a few dollars, or to give the company the option to charge a little more for a bleach-resistant one. In any case, if you plan to spray bleach solution, choosing a bleach resistant sprayer is a good idea. There was a little chemical odor from the sprayer when I first unpacked it. I think it was from the sprayer hose. I left it outside for a couple of days and it seems to have dissipated. It does reach the eave of a two-story house, but doesn't as easily reach the highest parts of the gable end. You might need a ladder for that. Assembly was pretty easy. It also comes with a fan spray nozzle.

No features like some other units they sell. But the functionality of using bleach is why I purchased unit.

One of the factory installed bolts at the bottom leaked and we didnt notice until I had leaked bleached down the back of a pair of pants and ruined them. Other than that it does what it says it will
