AstromaniaSCT Adapter for 2" SCT Diagonals - Convert Compatible Push-in (Refractor) Type diagonals into a Standard SCT Diagonal

My AT66 refractor has SCT and only came with a 1 1/4" SCT visual back. In order to use it for astrophotography, I ended up getting a SCT 2" nosepiece adapter. It worked fine until I tried using a narrow band filter. The adapter was too long so I and could not focus. It needs more intravel to obtain focus. I searched for shorter adapters but they don't have a internal stop for the threads. Without the stop, the the treads on at66 will continue to tread until the adapter goes all the way through. I was about to give up until I stumbled upon this SCT adapter for my At66 refractor. This adapter fits perfectly and is short so I can finally reach focus. It also allows me to rotate the camera by barely loosening the threads at refractor. It stays connected so it keeps the camera from falling. The quality is excellent as well.

It was a perfect fit on my micro 4/3 Panasonic camera. I threaded a 1.25 inch nose piece to attach the camera to my telescope. It worked like a charm. If you need an adapter to attach your micro 4/3 third camera to a telescope then this is the accessory you need.

Fit and finish of this item was very good the problem is that the male flange would not fit any of my four 2 inch star diagonal one was a Celestron and one was a Astro tech 2 inch and one was a scientific explore 2 inch diagonal and one was a off brand diagonal the opening on all four were larger then the items male flange.. I got a refund hope this helps others.

I added an OAG to my SCT and needed to go from SCT threads to M48. Since I use a .63 reducer the back focus distance is important as well as being able to change the orientation of the camera. This device is probably a little long if you had to add a filter wheel, but is perfect length for me when combined with an 8mm m48 spacer/extension. The build quality is great.

For those who have a SCT and refractor this is a great product….

Absolutely does not fit Celestron SE8. The Savbony adapter was close but threads did not work. Ended up with using the Celestron adapter to attach a 2” diagonal.
