Works really well
This cone works really well. I had to purchase one when the cone given by the vet broke in two places within an hour when my Lab walked into furniture and stairs. This cone was MUCH sturdier! It also seemed a little shorter, but was still long enough to prevent her from scratching her ear. She was also able to eat, drink and sleep with it. Definitely a good value and less traumatic cone of shame! :)

Useful. XL for German Shepherd
It prevented my dog scratching it's ear. Fits really well on my german Sheppard and prevented him bitting his tale. The cons are that the plastic gets damaged easily and my dog loves destroying things so it lasts just couple weeks before it could keep fulfilling its purpose.

Much better than the vet or box store cones
After my 10 month old Lab removed and chewed up two cones, the first came from the Vet, the second from a large pet store (same style, see picture).I switched her to this one. She hasn't been able to get this one off or eat it.It looks beat up but its still working perfectly fine. She had some eyelid surgery so has to wear the cone for 2 weeks. We are on day 11 and this cone has held up.I did start with the XXL for her. It did fit, but is much longer, so she was bulldozing into everything. The XL fits her too and still protects her face. She can chew on her back paw barely with the XL but is much less of a walking path clearer with it.Thank you!

didnt last a week
I bought this cone because it's very hard to find a cone with a depth deeper than 8" and my dog has a tumor on her leg near her paw. the fabric part is nice but the plastic is thin and is already breaking. I put it on her last Saturday evening when it arrived and by this morning (Thursday) it was already cracked.

Lasted a day
We recently had out golden retriever nutered. The cone the vet sent us home in seemed overly large and uncomfortable for our dog, so we bought this as a backup option. At first, the adjustable shape made it easier to find a configuration that offered more comfort while stil protecting the surgery site. Within a day cracks started appearing in the cone. By the end of wearing it for a little over 24 hours the cone was so ripped and cracked it was useless. I bought 2 others to try and make them stretch as long as possible. We got up to 3 days of use out of the last cone only because we wrapped it in tape to keep any cracks from spreading. In the end it's too expensive to buy 1 cone for every day or 2.

This one works!
I have a Doberman with a lick granuloma on her forepaw. I have tried everything to keep her off it… finally resigned myself to the cone. She wore the one from the vet until it finallly broke, and I needed another to get her finished healing. It’s hard to fit her because she has a long snout, but thin neck! She is also too smart for her own good and had Houdini-ed her way out of so many things. I decided to try this one instead of the next best seeming option that was $40 for the right size!!! So glad I did!!!

Perfect!
My wild Aussie Shepherd Border Collie puppy got his vasectomy. I would recommend this cone of shame as THE BEST! He never got it off. It seemed very comfortable for him for a solid two weeks. Great product!

Good until it cracked a week later
The vet was going to charge us $22 for a cone so we went to Amazon to check out the options. After much research, I picked this one because there is the soft area that would supposedly be more comfortable. In the photo, the black soft area is shown at the top of the head but in reality the black part is typically under our dog's chin which I think is actually much more comfortable for her to lay down. The flowery wavy shape is also nice because it gives her little peek-a-boo spots to still see, and is now comfortable to figure out put the cone over her food or water bowl to eat or drink. We were very happy with this product until we noticed a large crack along the whole side of the plastic. This was only after a week of wearing it and we still have 2 more weeks to wear it. The initial price of this cone was half the cost of the one at the vet but now I have to get a second one which would negate any savings. I would recommend going for the more sturdy ones the vet offers.
