I bought this to video recordings of sports eventsThe reaction of the motor to remote control and rotation speed (even at highest setting) are too slowIt takes almost 10 seconds to do a 180 rotation

I probably had unreasonable expectations. Bought this to aid filming youth soccer games with Sony FDR AX53 camcorder mounted on 60" tripod. Pans & tilts good using remote, but is too slow to keep up with quick back and forth sports. I thought that combined with the wide angle lens of my camera it might work. Wrong! Still, I think would be very good for parties and holidays. I didn't test the remote's range but could see benefit of using it so photographer could be in the pictures or video. My camera has phone control so this could work well with that. Batteries went the full length of game (approximately 1.5 hrs.) and still seem to be working. Unit seems sufficiently sturdy. There is some play between the tripod receptor and the unit. My camera is about 1.5 pounds so it's heavier than most and it seemed secure. Instructions are poor. Good overall so far! Have only used it once.

Wish the pan was faster but it works for what I use it for

The maximum speed is just not fast enough for me.
