Pacific Foods Organic Poblano Pepper and Corn Chowder, 16.3 oz Can

This soup is great, a family fav here. It can taste a bit hot to some, but can be “cut” with a can of niblet corn, or cream corn, or plain yogurt. Should be fine as is for adults.

Mildly spicy (not "hot") corn chowder. Not a liquid soup. It is creamy, thick and well.. a chowder. It is lovely on its own, but I prefer to add a hunk of bread to dip into it. Would also be nice poured over some rice or potatoes.Good mouth feel. Plenty of texture to feel like I am eating something. I can taste corn, poblano peppers, chili powder. I can taste cumin, which is part of chili powder. Overall has a depth of flavor and freshness I didnt expect from a canned product.Food comes down to preference. Cant take my 5 star review for it. You may love it, or may dislike it.I just like the occasional canned meal, and I prefer that it isnt a brothy liquid soup. I prefer a more full feeling, and so a creamy chunky soup is what I look for. This Chowder meets and exceeds those expectations. I also like when other foods can be added to it to further boost the volume. So if a can of this chowder is $2.71-3.19, and I want to feed 2 people, well I would need more than one can. BUT I can instead still use one can and enjoy the flavor by using it as a topper to rice, noodles, or potatoes, or with a big hunk of fresh baked bread or roll.I intended to take a pic, but I started shoveling this into my mouth and totally forgot. Maybe next can I eat I will remember to take a pic and share.

We bought quite a few cans of this soup as backup for those uber-busy days. I admit, this soup is not only yummy, and possibly addictive, but unless they offer a coupon, it is also way too expensive. Ouch!That said, however, its' biggest problem is.... check out that nutrition label, people! Yowza!This soup has---get this!-50% SAT FAT and 50% SODIUM! Oh my gosh. That is not good to eat very often. I also have to say, Amazon used to mail it in a BOX. That was good.Lately, they have been mailing this soup in a darned PAPER BAG!! No kidding. Needless to say, that is NOT GOOD. They arrive dented, so, not fun to open, even with the pull ring lid. Yes, yummy soup, (with a coupon), and a good price.But watch out for your nutrition,( especially if you must watch your sodium), as well as the denting.Good luck. It seems to be a real crap shoot lately with Amazon!

Good stuff for price I paid. Wouldn't buy at regular price. Taste was excellent.

I bought 2 cans because I saw such good reviews saying “this is amazing” or, “I’m addicted to this soup”. It tasted AWFUL. If you think you’ll like it that’s alright, but i would stick to just 1 can so you can try it first. I’m giving it 3 stars because I want to be fair, considering that others may like it + the packaging was fine.

add some crab, lobster or shrimp and hot sauce...perfect.

So delicious. It tastes amazing. I am so addicted to this and have been eating it several times a week lately because it's so good. I didn't find it spicy. I mean it is, but the perfect amount. I would consider it a mild spicy, similar to a mild salsa. So for this soup it's perfect. When it comes to spiciness like in indian and Thai food, I usually order medium, which is a lot hotter than this. But I've never been into things that burn my tongue, so not sure why in other reviews people are acting like this is so hot.. it's only a little bit. I personally find it filling enough for a meal as well. But I'm vegetarian, so used to filling up on veggies. You could add cheese and bread if you wanted to make it more filling. I love that it has potato chunks in it. So good. The perfect vegetarian soup. It makes a wonderful, easy, low calorie, healthy meal. The only thing is it does have quite a bit of sodium, but most soups and packaged foods do. If they sold a low sodium version that would be even healthier. Love the fast shipping. I can order it whenever I need more and it's delivered quickly... Usually in a day.

I just received my order of this soup and wow, I have to say….. this soup is amazing!!! If you like SPICY, this is for you!! The flavor and consistency is amazing! This is now one of my favorites along with the Chicken and Wild Rice soup. I am definitely ordering this again!!! I’m glad I ordered several cans to begin with but I wish I would’ve ordered more!!The ingredients are all clean wholesome ingredients without chemicals. It’s fabulous! Pacific brand is the only soups that I buy now because of how they are packed with good stuff!You gotta try this soup!!!
