Big Improvement for little investment
I replaced the original reverb tank in a Marshall JCM2000 DSL 401. It does make a difference. Good , solid, spring reverb. I am not a digital reverb fan so improving the Marshall reverb made a big difference. Of course the amp is a 90"s from England. Even though in great shape and well maintained , I would assume the spring in any devise would tend to wear out over time and it would be a good idea to replace periodically. In my case it made a noticeable difference.

Excellent reverb tank
I bought this as a replacement for the tank in my first generation 1990’s Fender Blues Deluxe.A huge improvement, the old tank gave very little reverb even when turned up full, and this MOD tank gives massive amounts when turned up even to half.Make sure the reverb tank you order is compatible with your amplifier, that is very important, as reverb tanks are NOT all the same, and the wrong tank will work poorly.

Well made tank
This tank is well made and has a nice classic sound. I was upgrading my US made Crate Palomino with a speaker change and changed out the old reverb tank that never worked and now the amp sound fantastic. For those of you that own the Palominos understand that they are very underrated tube amps. Also did some tube changes and the amp smokes for classic rock, blues or clean sounds. Regardless of what brand amp you have if you want to upgrade or update your reverb tank the MOD won't let you down. Enjoy and rock on.

A huge improvement from the original reverb tank
This reverb tank is a replacement for the 72-201-02 SLME tank that came with an Ampeg Jet II J12R reissue guitar tube amp. The original tank was on its last legs and I needed to find a replacement. Being a fan of the Fender Princeton Reverb, I consulted with a guitar and amp tech buddy of mine who recommended that I replace the 9 inch 72-201-02 with a 17 inch 4BB3C1B Reverb Tank. Pulling out the old tank and installing this tank was not fun, due to the tight space in the Ampeg cabinet. However, once installed I can definitively say that the tone and decay of the replacement matches if not exceeds my memory of the Princeton Reverb's tone that I once owned and kicked myself for selling.... until now.

Great Product!
I really like this reverb tank! I consider it an upgrade for the stock Accutronics tank the that came stock (and died!) in my Fender Blues Deluxe! I highly recommend this product! Easy to install and an inexpensive way to help your tone!

Nothing special...almost disappointing.
This tank doesn't sound as good as the original stock 2-spring short tank that came in my amp head. In fact, the stock short tank sounds BETTER than this long spring tank, and it IS the correct tank for the amp.In my opinion, unless the reverb tank in your amp doesn't work at all, I would not recommend this tank. It is NOT an improvement, by any means. If you want lush, deep reverb, get a reverb or delay pedal - they sound better. The service from the seller was great. The reverb tank is nothing to write home about. I can't understand all the hype these tanks are getting. They are NOT as good as the vintage originals in older amps, period.

Fun reverb tank for scary sounds
Great spring reverb tank. I use to make creppy sound effects with a delay pedal and an Ebow. Highly recommended.
