The item seems to work just fine. I plugged it into the cleaning & Charging base and it seems to work. I have not had it long though, so I cannot comment on the life of the product.

While this charger fits the Braun Series 5 5471 hair trimmer (the new connection type), it does not appear to charge the item. Not providing enough juice?
