Perfect for the TX heat!
We are in the Texas heat and need the shade. My husband saw one similar to this at Costco but then we found this one and it was cheaper and we could get it in red to match our patio furniture. It came while my husband was home and he put it together by himself in an hour. He said most of the time was spent filling up the water in the base.

Love this umberella
This is a large umbrella. It covers our four adirondack chairs. The delivered package was very heavy. Our neighbor helped us in moving it to our backyard and assemble it. We have used it three times so far when we had company. They were impressed. Last night we used it at night with the canopy lights turned on. The lights emit a soothing glow, perfect for a calm night. The umbrella sways a bit when it is windy but does not move. It is easy to open and close once you get the hang of it. It can also be turned by using the foot pedal. We are planning on spending many summer days outside using this Umbrella. We bought the grey umbrella that matches perfectly with our grey chairs.

Base design needs improvement
The umbrella itself is fine. There are issues with the base. The base opening to pour water or sand is small and the opening is in the middle of each of the 4 bases. If you plan to use water this might be fine, but if you plan to use sand it’s cumbersome. Because the opening is small most of the sand falls to the side as you are filling it. Since the opening is in the middle, the sand piles high in the middle inside the base and you need to rock back and forth the base to settle the sand so you can continue to fill it. As you are filling it gets heavy and rocking it back and forth to settle the sand becomes back breaking.I have placed concrete blocks on top of the sand-filled base for extra sturdiness for windy days. And it seems to hold up. I haven’t tested the sturdiness without the concrete blocks.

Beautiful and Easy To Operate
Great umbrella. Very easy to set up. I used water for the stand. They were easy to fill and set up. The purple umbrella is beautiful and so easy to operate. Being able to easily turn it as the sun moves is a wonderful feature. The coverage is great and the lights a very nice bonus.

Total JUNK!
We got this umbrella on July 7th. Two weeks after we got it, the metal feet that the entire thing stands on, bent. We had the weighted base on it (weighted with water), and there wasn't even enough breeze to move our wind chimes, but this thing fell over (luckily it fell in the opposite direction from our windows)! We had to get a metal plate which we screwed into the bottom to keep it from continuing to fall over. The "foot" is just two flimsy cross bars which are not sturdy enough to hold the umbrella up even with the weighted base. Yesterday, Sept 17th (72 days after receiving the umbrella), I went to put it up and the foot pedal that is supposed to lock into place would not lock. This caused the umbrella to just spin around. No matter how hard I tried to get it to lock into place, it just kept spinning around. My husband had to take the stupid thing apart (AGAIN). The spring that is supposed to snap the pedal into a hold position once you take your foot off of it had stretched. Basically, the spring was not strong enough. Once again, the materials used in this umbrella were not sturdy enough to do the job! Now the umbrella is held together with a bungee cord which looks awful! I sent an email to the manufacturer asking for assistance, and was told that I was outside of the 60 day refund/replacement/return window (by 12 freaking days!!!!). They wouldn't even send me a replacement spring. Although it really doesn't matter because it wouldn't hold it for very long anyway, but at least it would have been an attempt at customer service. They asked me for a video, but what's the point if they aren't going to do anything? I have had NOTHING but TROUBLE with this piece of junk, and we have had to come up with creative solutions to try and make it work. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY on this piece of junk like we did. Buy something that will last more than 14-72 days!!!!! I'm throwing this thing out, and buying something that I won't have to start reparing after 2 weeks and 2 1/2 months of occasional use.

Great Umbrella
We wanted a second large umbrella for our patio and chose this one. Set up was pretty simple and instructions were good. The umbrella works perfectly and I wish our other one was the same. It spins on axis so you can keep shade where you need it, the rolling up and down is simple, and the ballast weight at the bottom is definitely enough for low wind. This is a great umbrella
