Will help ease heel pain.
I gave these as a gift for my sister who is suffering with Achilles heel pain. I have used these when I had the same problem years ago, so I know how much they will help her.

Amazing Help for Heel Pain
I was on my feet a lot in my late 20s, and wound up with tendonitis in both heels at the same time. Thank goodness it wasn't spurs, but still, it hurt. With every step, it felt like someone was driving a railroad spike into my heels. After a lot of physiotherapy and a couple of cortisone shots, my doctor gave me a pair of Tuli's cups and told me to wear them in my shoes at all times. I thought she was nuts. They just don't look like much, and they are not cushiony. But I did it anyway. She wasn't nuts, she was right. Tuli's cups really do absorb the shock from the heel strike. Like many people, I tend to carry my weight slightly behind my center of gravity. This means my heels strike extra hard. I wore my Tuli's for years, and was thrilled that there was such a simple solution for heel pain. Then, suddenly, I couldn't find them anywhere. It was before Amazon sold merchandise other than books. I started buying Spencos, and they're very helpful too. I figured I'd have to use the Spencos forever and would never find Tuli's again. Last autumn, my heels started acting up again, though. So I got myself some new Tuli's and put them in one pair of shoes (I rotate three pair). I removed the Spencos from that pair and reinserted the original insole and added the Tuli's cups. Ta da! Problem fixed. In a few days, the pain was gone again. Don't get me wrong, I do like my Spencos, but some of the varieties are awful. That grid on the bottom of the Tuli's cups absorbs a whole lot of shock. It does take a bit to get used to them. At first, I was ever conscious of them, but after awhile, they feel perfectly normal. You can wash them, and put them in different shoes if you want. You don't have to remove the shoe's insole like you do with Spencos. I'm wearing them now, and if your feet hurt, you should too!

Good quality, high heel coverage
Higher backs than average heel cups, seem reasonably well made. Be careful about the size, accidentally originally bought the larger size by mistake.

Not same size pair
On the package it says 1 pair of size regular; hence, I'm presuming they are both the same size since they are a pair. However, upon opening, I already can see that one is bigger than the other and when I looked under the heel for the size, one says size 8 standard and the other says 10 standard. I don't think they are suppose to come with 2 different size if they are a pair. I could only wear one of them (the 8) on one foot so I placed it on the foot that I needed the most. It would have been nice to use both and put them on both shoes. Hence, it's hard to comment on one heel, but it seems to be comfortable although it sometimes slides and did not really do much for my pain. It only offers somewhat support, but then again I'm only walking only on one heel support instead of 2, because of the different sizes.

Recommended by the podiatrist for Sever's disease
These heel cups were recommended to my 12 year old daughter for Sever's disease by a podiatrist. The condition is common among young athletes. Sever's is heel pain caused by the growth plate in the heel being pulled on by the Achilles tendon. The growth plate is not fused and therefore can become inflamed. The condition is self resolving (once she finishes growing it and the plate fuses she will no longer have pain). Therefore the treatment is in simply trying to alleviate the pain. These heel cups help her significantly with the pain by lifting the heel a small amount so that the Achilles tendon is not pulling as hard on the growth plate and by cushioning the heel. We have tried at least a half dozen types of heel lifts and these work the best. Because she wants a pair in each shoe (especially soccer shoes) I wanted to get several more pairs. At the podiatrist they wanted 45 dollars for a pair so the sub ten dollar price here is a bargain. If your child complains of pain in the heels (and if squeezing the rear portion of the heel from both sides at the same time results in pain) you may want to try these.

Healing the heels!!
The heel cups definitely helped ease the pain of my plantar fasciitis. I wish they had a bit more cushion, though.
