I bought it to commect my imac and macbook. works great, no complains

Didn't work
I tried with a couple of different computers and a couple of different devices. It looks like they got power--the connection indicator light lit up, but nothing more. I suspect the cable wasn't high quality enough to meet thunderbolt spec.

'Designed by apple on the side'. Quality clearly says different. Didn't work a day

Worked but is NOT new.
The item was new as implied on Amazon. There was clear wear and tear to the cable and the box.

Sadly it was faulty…
Cable was faulty out of the packet sadly. Annoyingly couldn’t compare it with a working cable to double check that was the cause of the issue (signal dropping out intermittently) until after the return date so disappointingly couldn’t even return it. Anyway on this evidence it might be advisable to pay extra for the Apple version which is now what I’ll have to do.
