Got this for my mother as a gift. I love that it is available in so many color options! My mother loves it and says it is very easy to grip and use. Handles are a nice size and offer good grip. Opener is sharp and opens cans smoothly. I also bought the matching tongs which she loves.

I bought this for the color (well, I needed a can opener, but the good ratings being equal, I chose this one for the color). and I'm glad I did!! Because not only is it lovely, but it's also the best and easiest to use can opener I've ever had. The handles and knobs are plastic, offering a solid, unslippery place to grip, even with wet hands. As when easy to grasp As I get older, this is more important to me - I'm 56 and my hand squeeze grip isn't what it used to be; I appreciate that this can opener is solid and easy to grasp and hold. The knob turns easily and smoothly - even over not-entirely round cans - with only a normal amount of effort; no death grip required. I opened a dented can with it a couple of weeks ago with no issues. The can opener is solidly constructed and the blade sharp; I rinse and set it to dry after use and have seen no signs of rust (I've had it several months and use it daily). Best part of all? This can opener works its magic in such a way that THERE ARE NO SHARP EDGES LEFT IN THE CAN. The removed lid has sharp edges, but the can does NOT. Which means that my hands AND my silicone spatulas and scrapers aren't getting any injury or damage. And did I mention the lovely blue color?

I have been married for over 48 years and have always sworn by Swing-Away can openers. My first one I had for over 30 years, it worked great. I have bought 4 in the past 10+ years and each one worked briefly before the rubber handle came off, or it would leave the lid attached in 2-3 places. I kept giving it a try until I gave up and ordered this one. I love it. So far, it works beautifully and is easy for a 66 year old woman to use. I will order it again and will recommend it.
