These work great in a Miele dishwasher, rarely have to re-wash anything I put in the machine and I only ever pre-rinse items with large pieces of food still attached.

Your dishwasher has a rinse or pre-wash feature. You do not need to rinse them off in the sink. The dishwasher is going to do that for you and throw away this dirty water so no need to waste the water. However, you can make this pre-wash cycle much more effective by adding a tablespoon of Dawn into the dishwasher. This will make the pre-wash feature much more effective so that you only need half a Miele tab to do the main wash and they will come out sparkling. Put the Dawn anywhere inside the washer, not in the soap compartment! I just put it in a spoon and put the spoon in the cutlery tray. Do not use more than 1 teaspoon or you will get a major over suds mess on your hands. We have soft water so this works excellent for us. If you have hard water, try it once to see if it works you may need to use a full Miele tab perhaps. Also, if you have hard water, you may be able to get away with a little bit more of the Dawn. Miele tabs are a little expensive but if you cut them in half and get beautiful results, it’s worth it.

This was our first Miele appliance and we decided to use their brand cleaning tablets, I was skeptical at first because they cost more than our usual brand, but I am so glad I did now they last a long time and our dishes are not only noticeably cleaner they feel nicer. I shall continue using them. I am very pleased with this product.

Recommended by Miele technician. He also recommended cutting them in half because we only need half. I cut them all in half so each side has blue and white parts of tablet and I get 120 uses. This is a bit tedious and I just cut thru 3 of the coating sides leaving the two halves attached to keep tablets from breaking up prior to use. I also find it's easier to slip the half tab out of the dissolvable coating into dispenser. But don't do this with wet hands! I store my split tablets in a clear plastic container and can see when I need to order another box. Cutting them in half gives me much more value for my money and allows me to afford manufacturer cleaning product. It also puts the price comparable to name brand tablet cost per use. The dissolvable tablet packaging is compostable so I put that in my compost bag instead of leaving it in dishwasher which (like most dissolvable coatings) can make your 'clean filter' warning come on more often. I have not had any problems with my Miele dishwasher cleaning my dishes with half of a tablet. I will continue to order these and cut them in half. Am grateful to technician who recommended doing this.

Since the Miele tech recommended only using these Miele tabs, I haven't had problems with my Miele dishwasher anymore (before I kept getting error messages from using detergent bought at supermarket). Easy to use and clean dishes!

I won’t knock other dishwasher tablets, but these just work the best in my unit. I also have the softening salt chamber and rinse agent. My dishes are absolutely spotless and shiny when I use this product. Miele knows their stuff.
