Cheaply Made but Works Well
The product is good at its price point. It's thin aluminum and the percolator globe is plastic, not glass, but the percolator works just as it should and makes a great cup of coffee. I used thirty-four fluid ounces of water and seven tablespoons of coffee, which I percolated for eight-and-a-half minutes to get a great result. I didn't line the basket with a filter. I followed the manufacturer's tip to wet the basket before adding coffee. This clumps the grounds touching the metal basket, and the clumping reduces the number of fine grains that fall through the basket holes. The first cup of coffee was free of grinds. There was a small amount at the bottom of the pot when I poured it out, but nothing unmanageable if you pour the last cup carefully and don't attempt to drain the last drops. Considering that cheap quality manufacturing should be expected at the price point, the product's greatest drawback is that the handle isn't insulated from the pot, so it gets too hot and one must use a potholder or oven mitt to pour when the coffee is fresh off the stove and piping hot. That's a bit of a pain. It's nothing unmanageable but still a bit of a nuisance.

Great pot, crappy packaging.
The pot is basic, which is what I wanted because I remember growing up with one very similar, so I am pleased! What I am not pleased about is the way it was packaged in the box. Amazon used a large box for three small items in the pot had come apart and it was rolling around. Fortunately, it wasn’t dented. A strip of Craft paper it’s not packing.

Lifesaver
I purchased a pot after hurricane Milton. And it was a lifesaver to make my coffee every morning on my barbecue. And I had no power for over a month and this came in very handy. Makes the best coffee I still use it even though my powers back on
