Chemex Hand Blown Glass Coffee Mug, 10 Ounce

Sophistication without the pretentiousness, this mug completes the purity of a Chemex coffee experience. It’s not the most comfortable to drink from (think martini glass rather than coffee mug), but it’s good enough and you acclimate quickly. The size is just right (about 10oz) and its easy to clean. But its appearance is the most satisfying part, an art/science blend showcasing the warm coffee as it slightly steams the glass. I’m not sure if it actually makes the coffee taste better, but it sure seems like it.

Beautiful to look at, very nice to hold and provides a great coffee drinking experience! I use this to pour out small amounts of coffee from my 30oz Yeti to then sip on while I start my day. This little chemex mug has such a nice look and feel to it and I am enjoying it immensely.

Love this item, but it is just to small for drinking coffee to me! It should be 12 Oz. instead of 10 Oz's.Otherwise, I love it, it is a super design... get them to make one that holds more coffee! rg.

This is a cute little cup for a coffee lover! It’s small but if you drop it by accident, it won’t break or even crack. It’s pretty strong and durable.

I love the looks, and the feel. I would love to see a wooden ring around the middle, like the Chemex pour over coffee maker. The large handle is comfortable to hold onto, especially if the coffee is Hot. I will definitely be making a set of these mugs

I love the shape. Otherwise, It feels like a porcelain teacup, it weighs nothing. It should be 60mm glass at least. I use it with a funnex it’s like an elephant sitting on a vw beetle. It’s dainty, no other word explains it.

Nice feel to it but as the Chemex brewer is for its size, it is lightweight compared to other glass products of its size. The liquid flows well from it. I was concerned that with the mug's shape, the coffee/contents might not flow well but it does - although you might have to lift it a little higher at end of drink.Problem: mine had a small sliver of glass at the bottom. When I saw the piece of glass, I figured there was a ding/chip in the mug that produced it but I could find no chip anywhere on the mug and I would think it would be easy to see if there was one.There are a two or three very small air bubbles in my mug but being hand blown glass I suspect that as part of the more natural glass making.On packaging and shipping by Amazon: horrible job in packaging. The mug was well secure by Chemex, with bubble wrap around it, fitting secure in the Chemex box but Amazon shipping stuck the Chemex mug box inside a box that could probably hold 3 mugs with no wrapping - the Chemex box was completely lose inside the larger shipping box. So it just rattled around and could have easily been broken. Purely incompetence by Amazon shipping for not putting wrapping/support inside the shipping box.

This cup works well for me. It fits nicely in my hand and I have no issues with the 10 ounce size as some of the other reviewers did. You can always pour another cup of coffee, I take my coffee black and don't need to drink from a huge mug. To some extent this is a novelty item and is fairly expensive, but you must take into consideration it is handblown. I use the Chemex six cup coffee maker on a daily basis and think that it is one of the finest ways to brew coffee, especially when paired with a scale and thermometer. That being said, I had to have a pair of these mugs and would have no hesitation in recommending it or giving a pair as a gift.
