Works like a charm
Used in France. I liked that it provided a French phone number. No issue. SMS worked. Calls worked and data was plenty enough for GPS navigation across France for 3 weeks. Very satisfied compared to previous options in past years.

Worked without issue in Paris/northern France
Having used a sim from Orange in four central European nations without issue, I wasn't surprised that we had the same excellent result in France. I installed the nano sim enroute to CDG in Paris and the service started automatically as we were landing. No connection issues at all. We visited northern France up to the Normandy coast and only lost coverage in places where the phone lost a signal, typically underground. This is a MUCH better and less expensive option vs. paying $10+/day for international service from my US carrier.TIP: If you plan on using your phone for navigation (Google maps), be sure to download offline maps of the travel location(s) before leaving home. This makes navigation faster and saves a lot of data since the base maps are already on the phone and don't have to be pulled down using data as you travel.Reliable service. Easy recommendation.

Data is less than 12GB, Total scam.
Stay away. Put the SIM in Stockholm. Ok for couple of days. Used for google maps and uber app. 2 days later it said out of data. Barely used some. Feels like a total scam. How did I use up 12GB in 2 days. Horrible!!!

Convenient to have in France.
Bought 2 ESim and 2 physical sim versions for a total of 4 phones. All 4 gave us internet & data, local phone numbers and calling & texting ability while in Paris, France. Was very convenient to have during our 7 days in Paris.

Works Pretty Well
We bought two of these physical SIM cards for a 14-day trip to France and England. The short review is they worked pretty well. I would buy them again.THE PLAN30 minutes of OUTBOUND cell phone calls to non-French phone numbers. Keep in mind that if you call someone traveling with you in Europe who is using a USA phone number, it may still count as a foreign phone call.Unlimited calling within Europe. I could call my wife, who also had an Orange SIM card, as much as I wanted to but she was almost always with me so that was not a great benefit.0 minutes of INBOUND foreign calls. If your kids call you from the USA, it costs money immediately.200 texts12GB of internet data while on the cell network (using WIFI at a hotel or restaurant does NOT count)CELLULAR NETWORK FRANCE & ENGLANDOur phones connected to the Orange cell network as soon as we turned on our phones after installing the SIM cards in Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, France. We had no issues staying connected to the network while in Paris. We almost always had access while cruising down the Seine River. However, we visited some very small towns and out of the way places where there was no cell network but similar places in the USA would also not have had cell service. As long as you stay in civilized areas, you should have service, including the internet.REMEMBER that you receive a French phone number when you use these SIM cards. Calls or texts sent to your USA phone number will NOT reach you while using these SIM cards. I recommend sending people your French phone number via text to anyone who needs it.You MUST DIAL THE COUNTRY CODE AND AREA CODE to call a USA phone number, even if the person is traveling with you in Europe. For example, 00-1-702-555-1234You MUST UNLOCK your phone BEFORE traveling to Europe and BEFORE you use these SIM cards. If you do not know what that means or how to do it, YouTube has plenty of instructional videos. The cards switched seamlessly to a new network when we traveled to England. We received a welcome text as soon as we came out of the EuroStar train tunnel in England. We got some message about buying an ADD-ON service but that is NOT necessary. The cards will simply connect to an English cell network. They worked fine in England.TEXTSYou get 200 texts with this plan. My wife and I had no problem texting each other using our new French phone numbers but some of the texts that we sent to people with USA phone numbers did not arrive, including people traveling with us who were NOT using French SIM cards but who were using international calling plans from their USA service providers. When sending texts to people with USA phone numbers, it may help to add the country code (00) and 1 + the area code to the phone number. Just add these bits to the person’s phone number in your contacts. It will not matter once you’re back in the USA. Your phone knows when to use the country code.DATAThe packaging that we received did NOT match the packaging in the Amazon listing (see images). The documentation in the packaging stated that we would have only 8GB of data, not the 12GB shown in the listing. However, upon checking the available data balance after installing the cards, the network said that we had 12GB. Note, that you cannot check your balance or anything until you arrive in Europe and connect to a European cell phone network. The cards will NOT work in the USA.We had access most of the time to data and we each used only about 2GB during the 14 days. However, we had access to WIFI on our Viking river cruise ship so we did not have to rely on the cell data the whole time. The data on the Orange network in France seemed at least as reliable as data in the USA when we were connected to the cell network. The cards worked fine in Oxford, England too.REGISTRATIONOrange requires that you register the SIM cards using ID (like your passport) within a couple weeks or the cards will cease functioning. We registered our cards. It was not hard but if your trip is less than 14 days, you probably do not need to register them.INSTALLATIONSIM cards are tiny so make sure to wait to install them until you have a stable, clean environment to do it. The package comes with a small tool for opening your SIM card slot. BE SURE TO KEEP YOUR USA SIM CARD. We put our cards in the ZIP-LOC bag that came with the Orange cards.

Worked great in France and Italy
Had 4G and 5G in most places. Good connection especially in France. Didn’t encounter any problems although since we only got the 12GB, it wasn’t enough for two weeks since we had to use to it for video calling. Companion that didn’t do any video calls had enough data for two weeks. Topping up worked well enough though the transaction was via card and you’d need to be roaming to receive the OTP to proceed with the credit card transaction.Worked well in Paris, Lourdes, Nice, Rome, and San Giovanni. There were spots on the way to San Giovanni without any signal BUT everyone we were with who used different pocket WiFis and other sim cards didn’t have any signal as well (it was just a dead spot, it seems). Didn’t need to configure anything, just had to turn on roaming once we left France. Calls in Europe also worked well enough.Customer service was also responsive via email and could communicate in English.

It worked!
I bought this sim for my MiFi Device (Ryoko). At first, it had no signal, but after a few minutes, I was connect to BT Mobile (UK) and was off. It worked great throughout my travels in the EU, Spain, Portugal, and the Canary Islands. One thing to note is, when switching countries, it did take a few minutes to find the new service.

No support if you have a problem and don't speak or read French
I read through all the reviews before purchasing this SIM card, and it seemed it would either work perfectly the first time or it was going to be a problem. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me the first time or any time after that. I never was able to find an Orange store in any of the towns I traveled to, which seemed to be the only recourse for non-French speaking users.I carefully reviewed and followed the installation and startup instructions to a "T", but to no avail. My phone recognized the new SIM card instantly, and I received a text message informing me of my new, temporary phone number (French). After that, other than non-stop text messages (all in French), I wasn't able to use my phone for anything. No calls, no texts, no data.I bought this card solely to be able to use my phone for Google maps while traveling in Europe, so it was a MAJOR disappointment. Maybe you'll get lucky and it will work the first time you start your phone or, if you speak French, maybe you'll be able to figure out the problem. For me, it was a major disappointment, and a total waste of money.
