PUT THE ALL PURPOSE RUB ON EVERYTHING!!!
I bought the classic all purpose blend because I thought it was just salt and pepper. Truth is, I've always struggled to get the proper ratio of salt and pepper when working my meat. In the past, the result was usually less than satisfactory. Then I tried this. ZING! THERE IS GARLIC IN THERE TOO! Now my meat is perfect every time. If you've never tried salt, pepper, and garlic together (I hadn't), then this is for you! I've used nearly the entire container already as part of my weekend community kitchen. I'll definitely be ordering more shortly!!

Awesome blend
This sits on my kitchen table. I use it on almost everything that will take a savory flavoring. Seriously good stuff.

Good blend - Certified Master Chef, certified by whom?
If you've only ever used plain paprika this is more complex in flavor since it's a blend. This stuff is pretty good and is versatile for use in rubs which is how I've used it for smoking. When products make claims, I also like to look into and verify them so below you'll find some info about the label calling this product "Handcrafted by a certified master chef"I read that and though - well I can look that up right? It's a credential. I'm not a culinary professional but shouldn't be too hard. From what I've gathered, when people say they are a Certified Master Chef (CMC) they generally mean they've attained a credential as such from the American Culinary Federation (ACF). They have a database, you can look people up. As of the writing of this review, the chef named on the bottle is not on their database of people who have received credentials from them. That being said, there is another institution that hands out a credential named the exact same thing and that's called the American Master Chef's Order and the chef on the bottle is named on that website. I'm not a culinary professional, I am not equipped to say whether or not the latter org is less reputable but when I looked around for information about CMC, every single thing I read pointed to ACF and not this second group.Normally I wouldn't go on a deep dive about someone specific's personal credentials but it appears that a lot of the weight of this brand leans heavily on the Certified Master Chef status of the creator so I feel like it's particularly salient to point it out. I think if there are multiple organizations handing out credentials called CMC you'd think you'd want to label which organization you got yours from - especially when one of them has a podcast and calls out sponsors on the front page of their website and is generally light on details and documentation. They do call out ACF as a partner of theirs so maybe ACF honors their CMC credential as their own? But If so, why aren't CMC from the American Master Chef's Order on the verification database for ACF?At the end of the day does that label make this a bad spice blend or a good spice blend? No it certainly doesn't have an impact at all. It's a good blend, like I said I've used it on my smoked pork lately and it's pretty solid as an ingredient to my rub.

Combined the Old School with the blackening on chicken that we grilled and it was incredible. Will def buy again! Also make sure you look at the ounces… much larger than a regular seasoning Container that you would get at the store. It will last us a while

Best blackening seasoning yet
I do a lot of grilling and am always on the lookout for new seasoning to try. This is the best blackening I've found so far. It goes great on chicken, burgers, or seafood. I highly recommend!

Excellent flavor and easy to use
We loved the seasoning. We were at the beach in a rental home with no salt or pepper so we used this on everything. Grilling or eggs in the morning. It came right away.
