I’m going to keep this stuff on hand in my shop, it’s very useful
I bought this to seal the windshield in the zenith 750 heavy duty airplane I just finished. This was just the stuff to keep air and water from getting in. I think it’s going to work just fine. I used a razor blade to make the diameter of the roll about half to get it where it needed to go. It seems to have good adhesion to steel and plexiglass, and was very soft and flexible to male installation very easy. I’m flying the time off on the Zenith now. It was a lot of fun to build. Flying the time off means that the faa will let you fly it only 50 miles or so, or carry passengers until you get 20 or 40 hours of flying in, depending on the airplane

Good quality, sticky and flexible
The 1/4 inch butyl cord I received was good quality and appeared fresh. It was a round cross-section "cord", and not a flat tape. The butyl cord was very flexible and sticky, but not so sticky that it would not let go of your fingers. I applied it at about 70F degrees and kept it out of direct sun so it would not get too soft. I used the cord to seal around the base of some outdoor wall lights that did not fit snuggly to the wall. It worked great. I could push and pull the butyl cord into shape to fit the crack between the light base and the wall. Should provide a good seal from weather.

Cheap, but High Quality!
Ya know, for a $10 item, this sure worked like a $30 product! I used it on my 2 rear doors for 2008 Honda Fit Sport where the prior Butyl tape had worn down and was allowing water into the vehicle. Took me 2 hours per door for the whole process, but was well worth it. This worked like a charm -- was easy to apply, is lasting quite well, and holds true to its purpose.

More useful than you’d think
I had a screw inside of a car door panel that was virtually impossible to place in the hole, due to the access only being a small hole under the door handle. Put a little glob of this in the head of the screw and it held the screw to the screwdriver hands free.I did not figure this hack out myself… I had taken screws out before and wondered why there was ‘tar’ them… then I figured out what the ‘tar’ was and why it was there.

Its good
Good but not great. Clearly not the highest quality, not anywhere near what you get from something like Resonix, but OK value for money.

What I needed for Lexus vapor panel
Had to replace that piece of junk door lock actuator in our Lexus which had obviously been replaced previously which meant the sealant was not holding the vapor barrier any longer. Had to wait to get the OEM actuator (just pay up for the OEM actuator and save yourself the time to troubleshoot the cheap part and just do it once. Well, until the OEM actuator fails again.) Probably enough per roll to replace the entire seal on one door only. I used about half of it and just replaced the seal on the side of the door closest to the actuator. Should have enough to do the other side since the actuator on that side is failing as well. It holds the barrier very well, I know because I had to pull it back since I forgot to reattach the window guide rail. Derp.
