Love love love
I’ve had this lip gloss for a while and I love it. Smells good. It lasts a few hours. It’s is smooth but just a tiny bit sticky, I just put it on a little lighter. The color is so beautiful. I also love how big the applicator is. Super easy to apply with how big the applicator is.

Fabulous Lip Oil
Fabulous product. The is the third one I have ordered. The colors are beautiful. It's not sticky and I get a lot of compliments when I'm wearing it. My daughter loves Milani Fruit Fetish Lip Oil as well. Not too pricey either.

Lychee Nectar Review
The picture I included is the gloss on top of my Colorstay lipstick. The gloss by itself is pretty sheer with a little tint of color. This particular shade doesn’t compliment my light complexion well, but it’s nice as a top coat & the formula is very nice. I get very dry lips in the cold months, but this doesn’t dry them at all & actually helps keep them soft. This is a thick gloss. If feels very “cushiony” on the lips which is nice. It’s not extra sticky. The longevity is that of any standard gloss. You’ll want to keep it with you to reapply, as it’s not long lasting. Nice, pleasant scent. You can taste it a bit also…a little sweet. Not sure if I love it enough to purchase again, but I might try another shade if it gets my lips through this winter hydrated. Update: after using for a few days, It causes a reaction on my lips similar to windburn. Red, irritation around the top of my upper lip. May need to discontinue

Doing God’s Work
If you’re here, you’re lucky because I am a lip gloss fanatic and I have tried so many oils to help you decipher some of the best formulas. Of the affordable lip oils, these are my favorites to use (from least to most): Nyx Fat Lip Oil (polar peppermint): Not terribly sticky, but I don’t love to reapply this one. The formula just isn’t my favorite. It offers a tingly sensation on the lips, but doesn’t give me that minty fresh feeling when I inhale like I’ve experienced with other peppermint lip balms — the mint just kind of “sits” there and tingles on the lips if that makes sense.. I guess it’s better than the C.O. Bungalow peppermint gloss because it doesn’t leave this white residue the way that one does when reapplying. But I don’t notice any plumping and I don’t love the sheer blue pigment, so it’s on the bottom of my faves. I’d still be curious to try out their clear one. Nyx Butter Gloss (clear): The first near “lip oil” I tried because I hated the tackiness of traditional lip glosses. I don’t have many quarrels with this other than I’ve now tried smoother, non-tacky oils which I prefer because they are more slippery and hardly sticky. This formula gets grainy depending on the weather. It contains a lot of product for the price point, which is wonderful if you’re looking for an honest and affordable gloss. Gingersnap is for the baddies Tower 28 Lip jelly (sesame): This is about tied with the Nyx butter gloss for me in terms of performance. Sesame is a gorgeous everyday color and non-sticky gloss which I’m able to reapply without any white buildup on the lips. Personally, I don’t love the scent — smells like old coconut? Maybe my batch wasn’t fresh. It isn’t an overpowering smell and I can’t taste anything so it doesn’t bother me. I would say it’s mostly on par with the butter gloss texture, but maybe ever so slightly less sticky on the lips which I prefer. Con is it’s on the pricier side. Don’t be fooled by the packaging — you actually get more product in the Nyx butter gloss for way less money. Milani Lip Oil (passion fruit coconut): This lip oil is highly recommended. I like it! Again, don’t love the scent it’s like it wanted to be a pineapple coconut but it just missed the mark for me. I tried the most clear color, but I think I will be trying Coco Cacao as I read it is only a faint brown color that fades over time. It is also moisturizing on the lips and a good price point. *edit: the scent / taste of passion fruit coconut grew on me. Def would repurchase Smackers Fruit Glaze Lip Oil (banana): I know this was probably made for children, but can we talk about this ? It is COMPLETELY non-sticky. Oh, I love the formula so much. The scent and taste ? Exact replica of a banana laffy taffy. I mean I’m obsessed! This is my go to for an every day shine. Con? Zero lasting power. Maybe 30-40 mins. However, it’s super cheap and has lasted me 3 months with regular use (+ reapplying through the day). I also wish the packaging were a bit slimmer. If you’re looking for a nighttime lip oil to swipe on before bed without sacrificing one of your fancy oils, I’d say this one’s great! Homebody Liquid Love Lip Oil (by Kali Uchis): My “higher end” lip oil. I LOVE it. The scent is of a sweet rose: divine like Kali. It’s moisturizing, lasts longer than my beloved children’s lip smacker oil. This one’s my go to clear gloss when going out with my boyfriend. I use this in situations where I need something to perform reliably through eat and drink, no residue / white buildup from reapplication, and I can kiss my boyfriend without it getting in the way. It’s pricy, but this is the one for me so far 💋

Smooth, hydrating lip oil. Nice scent. Issues with the packaging and leakage.
Overall, I like the Milani Fruit Fetish lip oil in the Coco Cacao flavor and would recommend the oil itself, but there are few significant drawbacks when it comes to the packaging. To start, the Coco Cacao shade is really pretty. It's a rich chocolatey brown color with a hint of rosy warmth. It looks quite deep in the tube, the oil actually goes on very sheer and I have to apply a lot of product to really build the color up. When I wear it normally it just gives a little enhancement to the natural color of my lips. It really doesn't come off as noticeably brown. I wish it had a little more pigment, but I still think it gives a subtle my lips but better look. The scent of Coco Cacao is definitely reminiscent of chocolate and cocoa butter. Not most delicious I've ever smelled (Palmer's cocoa butter products are my favvv), but it's pleasant and enjoyable. I don't get any weird plastic smell or taste and it doesn't do that thing where it gets "caught" in the back of my throat. Just a nice warm, sweet vibe. The texture is very smooth and has medium weight/viscosity that is slightly plushy. I like that the product grips my lips a bit and doesn't slide around or feel really oily or greasy. I find it to be pretty hydrating and it feels good and nourishing even when my lips are super dry. The lip oil lasts a decent amount of time, but again it falls kind of in the middle. Definitely doesn't wear off quickly, but it doesn't last all day either. Overall, I think it feels really comfortable to wear and is reasonably protective and moisturizing. All this sounds great, right? But, here come the drawbacks. The tube leaks A LOT. Almost every time I threw this in my bag it would leak oil out from around the edge of the cap and it would get smeared all over the inside of my bag. I'd have to resort to wrapping a paper towel around the tube every time I brought it with me which was annoying, inconvenient and inelegant. It was such a hassle I ended up mostly just using this at home because dealing with the mess was just TOO MUCH. My other gripe is the size. It's 0.14 oz, which I realize is a pretty standard size for a lip oil or gloss, but because of the poor packaging I lot significant amount of product via leakage. I was constantly wiping off excess that had oozed out of the cap, even when I was only using the oil at home and making an effort to keep the tube upright. Then when I got down to the bottom of the tube there's a layer of product the wand can't reach so that bit goes to waste too. I also just *felt* like Milani oil got used up so much faster than other similar oils/glosses. The price point seems great, but it becomes less so when so much product goes to waste. TDLR: It's a nice lip oil that I enjoyed using, but the tube leaks *a lot* and I lost a lot of product because of that. I think anyone who likes a sheer, medium weight, sweetly scented, non-sticky lip oil who doesn't mind taking a little extra care to clean the tube (constantly!) would really like this. All in all, it's a great product, but I hate the packaging and likely won't repurchase because of it.
