Bought to use outside the campervan after I saw a mate using something similar. Was ideal as it heated up very quickly and easily cooked rice then curry with no problems. Will be using this in future instead of the fuss of using a gas bottle etc for cooking. Cooker took a while to cool down afterwards but not an issue and definitely a good purchase

Having bought a mini oven with electric hobs I found them rather a let down and therefore decided to replace it with 1 of these ceramic halogen hobs and I have to say I am rather impressed with it despite its small size it can cook all the things as good as any gas hob fried onions or mushrooms perfect simmering perfect & I must say it is value for money I even cooked Chinese food for 3 very hungry people I would highly recommend this nifty little 2 ring hob & if you like having a good fry up while camping make sure to buy 1 of these as you can also treat your family/ friends to a very nice plate of properly cooked crispy chips for supper & if like me you are disabled I have problems with my hands this hob is very lightweight and easy to carry and the dials / knobs are large enough to grip It’s very easy and simple to set up and use and the bonus is that it’s very easy to clean damp soapy cloth or sponge removes everything Just a word of advise make sure the bottoms of pans are clean to protect and maintain the ceramic hob plates

So good I bought 2 as this is a great product, even though it takes a little while to heat up! But once hot you can turn the heat down, which too is slow, but all electric hobs are like this anyway! I would of given 5 stars, but my only gripe is it's very easy to knock the dials by mistake and it comes on, which can be dangerous! If it had a little spring on the dials to click on it would be much more danger proof! But I just turn off from the mains plug to make it safe! I use it indoors as a main job as I don't have a full oven! So please be careful if you use it as a camping device that you pull the plug out when not in use! But other then these concerns it works amazing, and I am overall very happy with this product!

Replacement for one that stopped working. This one heats up much faster. Glass surface much easier to clean. Better and more efficient cooking results.

Easy to use solid plate hob. The hob itself works well and looked fine initially but unfortunately over time the markings for controls etc... wore off and both the housing and the actual hob plates are prone to rust. It's a shame really if the materials used had been better it would have been a great product and I certainly would have been happy to pay more for better quality.

I really like it. I was very suspicious at first cause I’ve had bad experiences with hot plates. But this is a workhorse. Heats up quickly but not surprisingly so. It is very stable. It has a sturdy plug and base. Easy to clean. No corners where food can lodge. I gave it 5 stars and it deserves all 5. But follow the directions and burn off the coating before using it for cooking. Do it where there is lots of ventilation. Btw, I bought this for my RV.

Mon rond de poèle est défectueux et je ne peux le remplacer car trop vieux, c'est une plaque Jen-Air ancien modèle avec une vis pour l'élément et la vis ne s'enlève pas, j'ai donc opté pour cet article en attendant de remplacer la plaque au complet. Ça fonctionne très bien, j'ai fais une grosse sauce à spaghetti et des beignes et tout fut un succès. Seul bémol, l'écriture sur les roulettes de fonctions sont un peu pâles mais c'est minime car c'est vraiment une belle plaque. L'écran d'affichage n'est pas large mais très bien situé.

I'll start off with the good. I like that this hot plate has a turn dial on the back that turns the hot plate on and off. That's very good for safety just in case you accidentally turn the temperature dials on the front on. I think if you have kids that like to touch things, that's a very good safety feature to have. If you want to buy this as a replacement for a stove, I wouldn't recommend it. The hot place turned off after maybe 5-10 minutes of using it. Once it turns off, it stays off for maybe 3-5 minutes before turning on again. I think it did this so it can cool down a little and not overheat which makes sense but it makes cooking longer. For example, if you want to boil something it's going to take longer than it would with a stove to heat up. Also, I don't know what material was on the hot surface (I think it's rubber) but when the plates were hot it smelt like that material and in some cases, I was scared it might be burning while I was cooking. Although this wouldn't be a good replacement for a stove and it took longer to cook, I would still recommend it since it did work and I was able to cook with it. Overall, you buy it so you can cook and I was able to do just that.
