I wanted a container that when you had ice, there were still volume left over Tata fluid. This 20 ounces is perfect. It also holds the ice and liquids cold for a very long time. I filled it up at noon time and there was still ice in it the next day.

I've been using the Contigo Westloop bottles for several years as my carry everywhere water bottle. I've had a few of these and they always end up leaking when the seals wear out. This new Cortland design is larger at 700ml (too large really but OK for me) and the lid is designed so that instead of sealing on the outside circumference of the bottle the lid seals on the lip of the bottle and the opening is slightly smaller. I think this will be a more durable seal that will not leak (we'll see). I also like the built in handle that allows you to carry it with one finger if you have to carry a load of other things. There is also a cover for the drinking spout to keep dirt out if you are out in the wild. I normally just buy plain stainless steel as up until recently the painted finish on stainless steel bottles was not durable at all and wore off quickly. This was a twin pack with one bottle painted. The coating seems a lot thicker and sturdier even after dropping it a few times (on softer surfaces not concrete) it did not scratch or flake off. The design and colour is very attractive for both and they should provide years of service. Taking your own water with you is much cheaper and better than buying bottled water and you avoid the risk of microplastics and other chemicals from plastic bottles.
