Do you mean, how "thick" a board can it accomodate? It has a wide enough opening that it should be able to fit any standard commercial ironing board. I have had no trouble with my unit. Hope this helps.

Will this fit in a stow away cabinet when in the non-use position?

The black part adds about 3/4" on the side and sticks up about 2.5" above the ironing surface after you fold down the "antenna." If you don't have that room on the side, or if it would prevent the board from folding flat or sliding back into the cabinet, then it might not fit. I have a regular ironing board, so that is not a concern for me.
