SilverlineSteel Rule 300mm (MT66)

I work with felt tip markers and the plastic ruler I was using had raised markings for the measurements and it was damaging my marker tips. I needed a smooth edged 6 inch ruler, so I ordered this one. It's perfect! I read in reviews about possibly getting one of two brands, but I didnt care which I received for my purposes. For those who do care I just got mine and it was a silverline.

About as simple as they get. Clear lettering and stainless strength makes this a great tool to have handy. Also it is hard to even scratch this thing

Edges are razor sharp.

Lo tipico que te hace falta una regla para una determinada tarea y me di cuenta que todas las que tenia en casa eran de plastico y que al haberlas usado con el cutter tenian algun bocado en el filo. Buscando por aqui ewncontre estas metalicas que tenian buena pinta.🤑🤑🤑PROS:🤑🤑🤑Durabilidad, creo que es de estas cosas que te pueden durar toda la vida.Viene con su funda, otras no la incluyen.Incluyoi tabla de conversion en la parte trasera.Medida tanto en centimetros como en pulgadas.Los numeros vienen grabados y ademas pintados.🙌🙌🙌MEJORABLE:🙌🙌🙌La parte por donde comienza viene cortada en 90 grados, la esquina esta muy afilada.No son recomendables para niños.🔥🔥🔥Dale a útil si te pareció útil ya que me anima a seguir redactando opiniones de todo lo que compro.🔥🔥🔥

I was looking for a steel rule to use and abuse rather than risking my Starrett one. Ordered this not expecting much other than a straight edge but was pleasantly surprised. The measurement markings match up precisely with the three Starretts I own, unlike some of the other rulers/tape measures I have owned. The only minor drawback is that the edges are (or at least were on mine) poorly finished and were a little sharp. A quick rub over with some 600 grade wet and dry paper soon had them smooth and hand-friendly. The other irksome thing is that this came in a useful plastic slip-in cover but the Starrett was in a tatty cardboard sleeve! You get what you pay for? Excellent value for money from Silverline.

I've now been using my Silverline ruler for five years, and (while grubby) it still functions perfectly and is my go-to ruler.In that time, I've probably gone through a minimum of 15-20 plastic rulers (which are handy just for the transparency), but since I use this for cutting with scalpels for art projects, plastic rulers just won't do.I resisted spending (comparitively) so much on a simple ruler, but to be honest it's like boots and tools: Get yourself one good-quality ruler (or tools, boots, whatever) and while it'll cost more, it'll last a long time. If you just stick to lower quality plastic...well, I've gone through 15 plastic rulers minimum in five years, and have spent more on those than on this metal ruler - which I still have and use daily.In short, going for 'cheap and cheerful' is a false economy if you're actually going to be using something regularly. If you're cutting with it - don't even bother looking elsewhere. This is perfect.

This product is very rough and sharp , I was going to use it for crafting , however it might be better in my husbands tool box for occasional use as long as he remembers its sharp on the edges . When crafting you need to pick it up measure put it down pick it up again measure etc but with this rough piece of metal you have to remind yourself that it's rough and carefully use it which is not pleasure able .

i used this ruler with my cutting mat, the ruler has 300mm marking and thickness is 0.9mm, it’s made of steel, pretty suitable to be used as a guide ruler for cuttingthe marking is clear to read, however it got only one side marking, another side printed some unit conversion on it, pretty handy if you need it, but i’m more prefer to have double side marking on the ruler
