Very small product packing a lot of features !
Delivery overseas was insanely fast. There are a lot of feature, and a lot of possibilities for your security set up. For a basic usage, it is quite fast and intuitive to configure. I appreciate how small it is for a key meant to be left permanently attached to my laptop. The "finger touch" interface works surprisingly well, but could be improved. For Linux, the companion app could be better integrated with the OS for a faster, easier unlocking of the device using pinentry or something... Overall, a complete security solution for a very low price. Not forgetting that this is the only one I found with a backup feature ! I recommend.

Mac/Windows Computer required to Setup!
My Chromebook HAS Chrome OS, but NO official ONLYKEY desktop app available to download! How nice! So to use properly I would have to buy an entire computer, or become a programmer. NOT ALL OF US WANT TO BE PROGRAMMERS!!!! The app available was hacked immediately because this is Open-source, WTF???? I don't wan't NFC, so I got this because I wanted simple, on-device security. I have now wasted over a month and over $100 and still have no security! Thank you for nothing. I was so crushed to be sucked into the "Too Good To Be True" promise of this device.

The provided keychain can potentially damage your chip. use a circular keyring.
the little metal piece that connects the loop between the two buttons broke in my pocket. Not the plastic adapter, but the actual blank spot between the two buttons on the chip. it still works fine, but it's a pain to take out of a USB port now. the providede keychain is what broke the piece off, so i don't recommend you use. had it been a circular shaped ring, i don't think it would have broken it. the straight parts on their hook allowed it to slide up at an angle that gained leverage against the flimsy piece of material.

USB C adapter will not retain connection even when I do not touch it. So, USB-C adapter is useless.
The base unit works fine. The USB adapter will not retain connection even when I do not touch it. So, USB-C adapter is useless. Substituting an Anker USB A-C adapter and it works like a charm all the time

TOTP Requires Companion App
After discovering this device I was hopeful it would support TOTP on its own but unfortunately that is not the case. TOTP requires a companion app to be installed on the PC/Mac for time keeping. This reliance is buried in documentation but it would have been super helpful to be mentioned in the product description. The device seems to work fine otherwise but it does not fit my needs for TOTP.

Brick
Didn't work with any device. Lights are on, but it's a brick. White plastic peeling from using the usb insert. Waited to use it, glad it didn't brick with all my info on it, but can't take it back.

Saves time with typing passwords, bit expensive
Easy to configure and use. I wish it were cheaper though.

Device failed at 31 days
Device is no longer recognized by any device. If the LED comes on it's white only, which means it wants firmware. Was able to reflash firmware once, device quit working again within minutes.

Gain de temps appréciable pour se connecter au réseau institutionel. Plus de perte de temps devant les élèves a essayer de taper son login a ralonge et mot de passe!

EDIT: After just over a year, I'm changing my review as the product has broken with what I consider to be normal use. This key is far too tight in USB A ports, making it very clunky to use, and the loop is not adequately strong enough to deal with the repeated strain of pulling the key out which has lead to its breakage. For the price, I really hoped for a few more years of use out of this product. Also, its firmware has not seen a single update in two years; longer than I have owned the device. Not only does this suggest the product is now stagnant, this is generally concerning for a security-oriented product. There are competitors which have undergone security audits and release frequent updates. I therefore wouldn't even recommend the full sized OnlyKey unless it receives consistently active development. ORIGINAL: I'll start with a disclaimer; I'm a software developer. This device is exactly what I was looking for and provides a lot of control, but it could be overwhelming for less technical users. There are more simple products which still provide very good security. With that out of the way, this device is amazing. It has the usual hardware key functionality (FIDO2/U2F/WebAuthn) which gives very secure authentication with a single tap. Unfortunately, many websites don't support these standards and TOTP (Google Authenticator) is more popular. That's okay, because you can register a slot on this key to type the six digits, much like it can with a password! It has 6 slots per profile with 4 profiles, so 24 slots in total. Each slot can store a URL, username, password and a 2FA key. All of that and it's secured by a pin which you can put into the device itself, which will protect you from keyloggers. If you're not worried about that, you can type the pin into the app too. For the nerds, this key has its own support for SSH and GPG keys. I prefer to use the U2F functionality in the newer version of SSH, but both work well. A few things you should know: - TOTP only works if you're running the app (also available as a web app) because the key needs to know the time. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of. - The minimum pin length is 7 digits. This is probably reasonable on the original OnlyKey, but it's fiddly on this one. If your dexterity isn't great, you'll have a bad time. You can put it in on the app instead, but the original OnlyKey and an OTG adapter might be better suited to you. - There's no mobile app. You can use the web app, but this only provides the time to the device (for TOTP) and message/file encryption. Even with those caveats, I'm really happy. I don't think there's another hardware key which ticks the same boxes as this one.

The product is geat. Unequalled by any competitor. The delivery was delayed but it was so well worth the wait. The learning curve for configuring and mastering it is a bit excessive, I think that would be improved by better supporting materials like documentation and videos.

never got it to work. Finally I broke pcb where there is fixing hole is. Good idea. Authenticator and others are more standard and in use. pgp is good idea, if it worked.
