Cuisinart DLC-042TX-1 Replacement 2mm Thin Slicing Disc Fits Models DFP-14, DLC-2014, & MP-14 Only OEM

I use mine to make thinly shredded cabbage or onions. Very sharp.

I got it since I wanted to make potato chips, and the 4mm disk that came with the FP does slice thin enough. This 2mm disk is perfect for that, and the whole process is quick- I immediately deep fry them. My Cuisinart DFP-14BCNY FP was correctly listed as compatible with this disk.

Works like a charm - had thicker (medium) slicer attachment but didn’t use much as slices were just a bit to thick for my taste. Sliced veggies for a huge pot of soup in just seconds.A bit of an issue with shipping - package arrived unsealed & empty (paper over adhesive strip still attached.). Contacted seller who sent out a replacement which arrived within days.These attachments have become pricey but aren’t easy to find so guess it’s supply & demand.

Slices cucumbers super thin in a flash.

It would not fit on my spindle. And could not get help to get correct fit.

I have a Cuisinart Food Processor 14-Cup (DFP-14BCNY) and it fits perfectly. Easily connects to the plastic attachment piece. The disc that comes with that processor is a 4mm and I wanted something that would cut thinner. Unless you want to see through your tomato slices (get a good knife then, and sharpen it regularly. Or a countertop slicer.) this is thin enough for most purposes. Cleans easily. Went through dishwasher fine though it's not hard to handwash unless you wait til everything is all dried on.

With this handy blade, why would anyone attempt a super thin slice with a knife? Cuisinart makes the job so much easier and the results look professional. My kids love homemade potato chips and my previous option was a mandolin. The slicing results are similar but this blade cuts the time in half ( probably less) which gives you a fresher potato. In seconds you have an entire batch ready to wash and fry up. The thin slicing blade is not just for potatoes, obviously. You're limited only by your imagination. It would be wonderful if Cuisinart included all their blades in the original purchase but this one is worth adding to your collection. You can't really go wrong with Cuisinart.

Needed replacement for old dull blade, this was exactly the right thing.
