My beloved (and rather expensive, for me...) large cutting board was starting to look a little beaten up. I searched around and decided on this Bearded Chef Organic Wood Butter. This is the only kind I've ever used so I can't compare it to others, but I think it's wonderful. It's a pleasure to apply it, wait a while, wipe the excess off and see my cutting board look so much healthier! It's completely non-toxic, so I have no worried about cutting food on the board after a treatment. I recently noticed that my steak knife handles were starting to look dried out and sad. I used this wood butter on them, and they look beautiful now. The wood butter treatment made them smooth and brought out the rich grain of the wood.

What a wonderful product...and organic as well! I used this wood butter on a teak cutting board I purchased in 1968. Even though I have used this board constantly over the years, I had forgotten how beautiful the teak wood truly is. Now I can display it! The butter is easily applied and wiped off. I used a paper towel to apply and a cloth at the last. The picture shows the results after only 1 hour. The cutting boards from this company are so unique that they receive lots of compliments, especially at wedding showers and housewarming gifts.
