This shatter works very well for mosquitoes. It also holds the charge well once it’s been charged.

Zaps them very nicely. Rechargeable without a problem.

Takes forever to kill a fly...handle is too short and/or power is not sensitive enough, doesn't kill the fly even if you touch it.

It worse than expected. The quality is very bad. I put it in the charger for two hours and didn’t work.

Sadly, did not work despite charging for >12 hrs.

We live near horses, which I love. What I don't love are horse flies. So big, so creepy. So, when I saw this, I snapped it up and it works like a charm, often without doing anything more than being on. As soon as I grab it and turn it on, whatever I'm after flies right out of the room. Weirdly, so do my cats and dogs. I don't know if it makes some sort of subsonic sound, but it tends to clear out a room rather quickly. It takes out just about everything except mosquitos, which are too fast or too small for me to make contact with. But those slow monstrous horseflies are toast, literally.

Nov 2018 update: the seller contacted me straight away after I'd mentioned the original product i'd received was malfunctioning and seemed 'used' with scuffs/scratches. they immediately offered a replacement item which looks new and works great! they kept me in the loop from the start of the exchange until i received the item. customer service is fantastic!Oct 2018: like the idea but... was looking forward to using this to swat/zap mosquitoes but when it arrived, we weren't sure if it was actually 'new'? the handle was scuffed up and the round part of the racket's frame had scratches. it was also already 'fully charged' even though instructions were to complete a full charge of 4-6 hrs. it has a flashlight on the handle which we thought was handy but that worked intermittently. returning and planning to order another one that will hopefully be 'new'.

Living in Alaska, we always have a swatter on hand, especially when we are camping in our camper. Our mosquitos are large and bloodthirsty! If they get into the camper, they buzz around all night long night and if they get you, you often need a blood transfusion!More seriously, our previous swatters were getting old and damaged from overuse. We always keep one in a desk in our main living area in our house for flies and another in our camper. This one seems more solid and the rechargeable batteries are a plus! No more needing to bring extra batteries or putting in fresh ones before you go so you don’t run low on power. Nothing worse than camping with an ineffective swatter in Alaska! I am really impressed with how solid this swatter is compared to previous ones we have owned. The plastic frame is heavier and the mesh on the head is heavier. Compared to our previous ones, this one should last!
