A Low Cost Wireless Bluetooth Speaker That Performs Like A Champ:
This may be a Bluetooth wireless speaker that has a relatively cheap cost, but it performs like a mid-range to low high-range model like JBL or Bose. It has a very crisp sound quality and clarity that you wouldn't expect. The model M400 includes the ability to connect to non-Bluetooth devices through an AUX audio cable connection/line, as it has an auxiliary audio port, as well as a TF/micro SD card slot. In fact, you can play any station (INCLUDING AM stations) off any normal radio that has a headphone jack port by plugging one end of the AUX cord into the headphone port on the radio device and the other end into the AUX port on the Sbode speaker. It does come with the ability to play FM stations by default by proxy of its FM Radio function, which includes the ability to set presets. Be mindful, though, that the presets go sequentially in order of where the stations are on the dial, and there doesn't seem to be a way to set one preset say at 101.1 as PS #1, then go and assign a preset as PS #2 at 95.9 - 95.9 will have to come first no matter what (in fact, both will most likely be closer to PS # 20ish or 30ish). The version of Bluetooth is 4.2, it has a built-in mic function, comes with True Wireless Stereo, is IPX6 waterproof, and has a very sleek design that makes it ultra portable. The battery life is probably the only slight on this model, as it only runs 8 hours on about 80% volume (maybe 10-12 hours on 60%), but it does only take about 2.5 to 3 hours to FULLY charge, so it really isn't that big of a deal in the long view. The speakers aren't $150+ perfect, as this is an economy model, but they are quite solid for their price point, and like I said above - they are better than you'd imagine. I would recommend definitely, and I rate them a 4.7 to 4.8 out of 5 stars (9.5 - 9.6 out of 10).

Impressive, waterproof speaker with better than typical bass output.
I simply cannot believe the great sound that this unit produces. And it is waterproof. We accidently proved that this past weekend as one of our youngsters decided to take it into the surf while we were at the beach. Surprise, no damage even after it dried for the past couple of days. The speaker is relatively small for the dynamic sound it produces. It is approximately 7.5” tall and 3.0” in diameter so it is easy to pack and take with you. Even though it is waterproof and we have convinced ourselves of that I still would not recommend using it in the shower or bath but it can easily stand up to the forces of nature when necessary and you are caught in a storm, dust, or wind. Our youngster actually had it under water and like the old Tiimes “it takes a lickin and keeps on going”. We had it under running water to rinse the salt water off of it and no problem. You can play from your playlist and use the buttons on the side to maneuver through the list. It is also very capable in the power department power!! You probably know that it can be difficult to get enough sound to over power the wind and ambient noise at the beach, again no problem. It really does sound very good.It has several modes as follows.1, A typical Bluetooth music player.2, FM radio with the built in tuner.3. Phone speaker with the capability to send and receive calls lite a speaker phone.4. It has a slot for a Micro SD card so you can save your favorites and it will play without the phone.5. Last it has a port for using an auxiliary cable to virtually any kind of device you may wish to connect.I felt the instructions were adequate but I would have liked something a little less abbreviated but even so I had it up and running in a matter of minutes. The devise has several build in voice prompts which are very helpful. The speaker is easy to care for and use. We used a small auxiliary battery at the beach and in combination with being fully charges plus the auxiliary we were at the beach, at full volume for over 8 hours with no problem. This item clearly deserves the 5 stars I gave it!What is the very best feature? I feel it is the ability to be in the surf of the Atlantic and it just continued to play on. I really doubted the water proof claim but trust me we really put it to the test with no problems.

All features work well! Speakers pair and play well through Avantree Oasis bluetooth transceiver
Overall, I am pretty impressed with these little Sbode M400 bluetooth speakers. As there are hundreds of reviews, I will not go into detail but I am happy to share the following:PROS: Price is great for all the features and all the features work well. The speakers pair nicely with my Avantree Oasisreceiver/transmitter and although I'm not sure it improves their sound quality all that much, my Avantree does register APTX when I'm playing songs from Google Play from my android phone - although I have to use the Aux in to the speakers from the Avantree Oasis (Aux out) to play from my phone as the Avantree Oasis cannot receive and treansmit via bluetooth simultaneously (or if it can...it isn't clear how to do this). I use a simple splitter from the Aux Out of my Avantree Oasis to feed the two Sbode M400 speakers. It sounds pretty nice although it doesn't provide true stereo separation as should be the case if you were taking advantage of the TWS (True Wireless Stereo) function over bluetooth. The FM radio works extremely well in my area. I'd say it finds and locks in better to more stations than my smartphone which also has FM radio. Playback of songs from the SD micro card is excellent from a sound quality perspective.CONS: The bass from these speakers is pretty decent for a small room considering their size but it's nothing to write home about. If you are playing music from your phone using an app with a nice EQ feature - it can help, but if you really want a small speaker with good bass...you might want to consider something like the DENON Envaya DSB-240BT (although this speaker will probably cost at least 3-4 times as much!). It's a shame the M400 doesn't support aptX as I suspect this would improve the overall quality of the sound...don't get me wrong...but aptX does improve sound quality via bluetooth! The TWS pairing feature is nice and it works well although I find it a bit tricky at times to establish the TWS pairing between my two Sbode M400s. I noticed an odd momentary bump in volume sometimes in the audio playback when I was playing songs from an SD card. It would only last a half second or so, but it was noticeable. This was typically when changing from one song to another so I suspect it's due to the decrease and increase in recording levels between the fade out of the song you've just listened to and the fade in at the beginning of the next song. Finally, It sure would be sweet to have an app from which you could control functions of the speakers like volume and EQ when playing back audio on the M400 via the Aux in or SD Card or FM radio. This only seems to be possible via bluetooth playback.
