This is the easiest makeup brush cleaner I’ve ever used. I’ve tried scrub pads in the sink with liquid soap, I’ve tried dish soap and scrubbing, I’ve tried the battery operated swirl tool that spins your makeup brush in a bowl of water. All of those are time consuming, messy, and ineffective in removing all makeup residue. THIS cleaner with the built in scrub pad inside the lid is the most effective makeup brush cleaner. It’s also compact, and a genius design. All you do is wet the brush, swirl it on the soap, and scrub it on the scrubby pad. Then rinse under the sink flow of water. My brushes were nasty, and caked with a year’s worth of makeup (yes, I know, it was bad). But about 30 seconds of swirling and scrubbing on this soap/pad combo, and BAM! Clean! It barely uses any soap, and left my brushes looking BRAND new. I wish I took a before photo to show you the drastic color difference. The soap is colorless, and leaves a faint mild scent that smells fresh. The value for the price is insanely good, because this is going to last a long time. I might finally be a girlie who cleans her makeup brushes after every use now! This is so simple, and I know my skin is going to thank me later!

This small screwtop tin contains a nice mild vanilla/almond scented soap to clean your make up brushes. The lid contains a removeable silicone scrub pad for creating lather to thoroughly clean and separate the bristles. I like the size, not too large to travel with if you're on a long vacation and need to freshen up your brushes, but large enough to handle your large powder/blush brushes. After using, I simply rinsed out both sides of the tin and place them upside down on a paper towel with the soap and scrub mat off to the side overnight. In the morning, all my brushes are dry and the tin is ready to reassemble for storage. A must to keep your cosmetic brushes clean and fresh.

I paid a little more than similar products because I wanted something that looks and preforms like it belongs in a grown woman's collection. The neutral tones give the packaging and product an elegant look. The fragrance is listed as vanilla. I was worried the scent might be too strong. It is unmistakably vanilla but not at all overbearing, even for my super sniffer. The silicone scrubbing pad is attached to the lid of the small round tin. It is removable, making cleaning easier. The soap bar, however, is removable and came wrapped in plastic. It was surprisingly heavy and larger than I expected. Once I unwrapped it I immediately gave it a test run on three of my largest brushes and quickly discovered I needed to get the brush bristles thoroughly wet. The silicone mat within the tin lid has a dense pattern that is raised enough to work the densely packed bristles of my flat top foundation brush, contour blender, and highlight blender very well. I couldn't find instructions on how to clean up afterwards, so I ran water over the scrubbing mat and turned it upside down to dry. The manufacturer recommends waiting for the soap to dry before closing the unit for storage. Over all I am very pleased with the look, performance, scent and how self contained this product is. I would not only recommend it to others but will reorder it again.

I use this product to clean the make up and cosmetic residues from my application brushes. I like the silicone mat as it provides a scrub element which makes the soap last longer. The fragrance is a very subtle hint of vanilla - could be a bit more scent in the bar for me personally, apart from that, a useful product.
