Neat little gadget, definitely beats the old wooden mallet!
This review is for the 48 blades regular size ZXZ meat tenderizer. We tried it on fresh beef and pork and so far, so good, it worked as advertised. The blades are very sharp and spaced evenly, the spring mechanism for the blades' guard piece has the right amount of resistance and the handle design is well thought out making this little gadget quite easy to work with even for someone like me with bad arthritis. It is easy to clean: just wipe it with a soapy sponge, rinse under hot running water and let it dry on the counter. I really like that there is a sheath to protect the whole blades part as it makes it safer to store. It was $15.99 when we bought it so not costly at all and so far it seems that it is worth it. Only 4 stars for now but we have only used it twice so I will update this review after more we have used it more.

Great for roasted pork belly
Best tenderizer for pork belly to make it extra crispy. This was really easy use. Its a pain to clean though, easiest way for me was with a toothbrush. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and would buy again.

An Effective Device to Help Tenderize Meat
This device is amazing. Punches nice little holes in the steak. My husband uses it on all steaks now. Happy to have it. Depending on the meat quality my husband uses this o punch holes and then sprinkle Adolfs Meat Tenderizer and sprinkle water on it so It can soak into the meat. This device beats the heck out of stabbing meat with a fork. The only drawback is it can be a little hard to clean because of all the sharp pints. But we love the device and would purchase again.

Good product but...
It seems to work well for tenderizing but after washing there is water inside the handle that will not dry out even after shaking it numerous times - it's still inside after a couple of days, not sure if I need to put it out in the sun to dry?
