I bought this as a gamble to see if it would work with my Philips 221te4l, this tv in particular uses what they call a 36khz frequency or RC6 type remote control. SO I assume then if you look up your philips tv manual and see that it uses a RC6 or 36khz frequency remote then in theory this remote could work for your set too!The other name of my tv was Philips Motivo, so it could be compatible for the whole line of these tvs

Bought for a Philips DVD player, did nothing. Changed for new batteries as the ones I had been using were out of another remote and still nothing. So just to see if it was because it didn't like the DVD player I also tried on a JVC and a Samsung TV and still nothing. No instruction to tell me if I am doing anything wrong and no lights to show it's working, no indication it does anything at all.

Does not operate any Phillips device. Have tried with both tv and DVD player nothing works. Will be returning.
