These are excellent. Our chewer chewed through others. But this is all metal. He is safely captured with this, not escaping. It has a versatile latch, seatbelt or o-ring. And it is easy to use. The only drawback is the lack of adjustment. They work just right for our car, so I’m happy. Be sure to measure the max distance you want your pup to move, from the tether point, to be sure it will work for you. I definitely recommend these.

This seems to be made of strong materials. I kind of wish it had carabineers, but hopefully these clips are just as strong. Mine does click and lock into the seatbelt buckle, however I will probably always use it differently... My support animal typically sits in the front seat. I used to always run the whole leash through her harness and lock it in, but I would have to creatively tie the lap and shoulder straps at the buckle to allow enough slack to not restricted her to laying down flat. (This becomes an issue to untie when I have human passengers.) Now, this item is just what I was looking for! I clip one end on her harness, then loop it around both lap and shoulder strap and clip it to itself. This allows enough length for her to choose between sitting up and laying down, but short enough to not reach the dash or floor, or out the window if she were inclined but never is. (The reason I am always utilizing both lap and shoulder parts of the leash is because I feel seatbelts do not lock down as well when attached only to the shoulder strap and it will serve no purpose if it extends enough for her to hit the dash in an accident or hard breaking.) This length and situation may not apply to everyone, as my dog is a short-legged medium 25+# dog, who always likes to lay down/doesn't enjoy the window, in an SUV. I imagine enough length for a tall dog would also be too long to keep them off the ground or hitting the dash, in that case you may want to rig something that slides up and down on only the shoulder strap of the seat belt or clip this to your headrest bar if you have one. I am also considering getting one more to use the seatbelt lock feature to lock down a medium crate in the back seat. 🤔 This is really a great item and I'm sure it can be of use for non-animal related tasks as well.

This product saved my dog’s life. I insist that every time he rides in the car he needs to be buckled in the backseat. On New Year’s Day, my boyfriend was t-boned by a driver that ran a red light. My dog (20lb Shih Tzu mix) had his harness on and was buckled in. He walked away with no injuries, and I know the biggest factor was because he was wearing his seatbelt.

It hasn’t been a huge issue, but it’s something to be mindful of if your dogs are particularly active in the car. Overall, I’m still very happy with the product and will definitely continue using these on every trip. I’ll even consider buying a set for a friend with dogs. Highly recommend it for anyone who frequently travels with their pets!

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do: keep my dog from leaping out of the car window! The line is sturdy with zero give which is exactly what I wanted, but I do wish there was a way to adjust it. My dog has a tendency to like leaning out of the window more than I’m comfortable with and this restricts him without having to constantly look over. Simply buckle, attach, and you’re on your way! Super easy! I have it attached to a harness rather than his collar just in case I have to hit the brakes, which I recommend all pet owners do.

This leash is perfect for car rides. It is well made and hardy. The dogs won’t chew through this one. The belt fits in any standard seat buckle. The length in my opinion is not good for medium to large dogs IF you are using the seal belt buckle. I use the clip to clip my large dog to a car seat anchor in the back of the seat and it works good for that.

I bought these because my dog chewed through her last tether in about 2 minutes. This was a good length for my 50 pound dog. It allowed her to move around the floor and seats and did not tangle. Best of all, she could not chew her way out of it.

I do dog rescue transports and have a CRV, so I needed something to tether larger dogs when the seat back was down. These are perfect for attaching to their leashes (and a harness that they are wearing, never a collar) so they have room to get comfortable but are secure. I also use them to hold the crates in place when the dogs travel in those. They have a seat beat attachment also, but I have never used that .

The coated wire tether is a great idea and it feels very strong and gives peace of mind knowing it’s chew-resistant, especially for dogs that like to test anything within reach. Puppy teeth proof!! The double clips and latch system feel solid and secure, and the length is ideal, allowing my dog enough room to sit or lie down comfortably without being able to move dangerously around the car. It clips in easily to the seatbelt latch and attaches quickly to a harness. Having two in the pack is excellent value, and the red and blue colours make it easy to keep one in each car or have a spare on hand. Overall, this is a well-made, no-nonsense safety accessory that does exactly what it’s meant to do. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a simple, durable way to keep their dog safe while travelling.
