A carafe is a carafe but it must fit.
Why does every manufacturer have to have a coupla dozen models of coffee makers, each with carafe sizes that are all different and many by only fractions of an inch so when one cracks (as it almost always will), you will need to replace it and you'd better hope that manufacturer still has the carafe for your model available because if not, you may find yourself as I did, hunting for days trying to get a replacement. Black and Decker that makes our coffee maker, which we bough only 3 months ago, offers no replacement carafe, rendering their relatively expensive coffee maker, useless. Sneaky way to get you to buy a new coffee maker -- SHAME on you B&D!Then, lucky for me, I mistakenly saw the name Univen brand and misread it as "Universal," thinking someone was making universal carafes that would fit any coffee maker. This is not the case, but this product happen to work in our Black and Decker. It is half an inch to short so it doesn't push up the drip release valve to let the coffee drip down into the carafe, but I am at least happy that it fits well enough that I don't have to look for a new coffee maker only 3 months out of purchasing the old one. to facilitate letting the brewed coffee drip into the carafe, I just removed the spring and the valve in the hopper so I just have to now wait for the full 12 cups to fill the carafe -- we now don't have the luxury of removing the carafe before the brewing is finished to get your early cup of coffee. What at is, however is a good lessen for my family in patience and a slap on instant gratification for them as well. And BTW, here is a second thing I learned about that feature of be able to remove the carafe to pour yourself a cup before the full 12 cups is brewed -- doing that makes messes with the overall correct strength of the whole pot. If you pull the carafe out of the coffee maker when it is say 1/3rd full, that cup will be much stronger than coffee that comes from a full pot because you are getting coffee that has dripped thru the fresh grinds as they are releasing there strongest flavor. You are also weakening the rest of the coffee in that carafe be cause you've pulled the earliest, most robust brewed coffee from the rest of the brew. The evenness of the coffee strength depends on the earliest brew (strongest) and the latest brew (weakest) to be homogenized together so that all the coffee in the carafe is the correct strength. So be patient and wait for the whole pot to brew before upsetting the process.Anyway, I am happy that this carafe at least fit relatively well in a coffee maker whose manufacturer couldn't supply a replacement for their own coffee maker (shame on Black and Decker). And thank you Univen for saving the day for us.

Fits Mr Coffee maker perfectly
I bought this for my mother, to replace her broken Mr. Coffee coffee pot. She is very happy with this pot, and she said it fits perfectly, just like the original.

Works great
This was a good replacement for the one I broke. I was a little nervous it was going to be to big for my coffee maker but it fits perfect.

Perfect replacement Carafe.
I use this carafe at least two times a day. It fits my Mr. Coffee coffee maker perfectly. It is just as good or better than my original one.
