Ekena Millwork CM18ROCBF Rose Ceiling Medallion, 18"OD x 3 1/2"ID x 1 1/2"P, Hand-Painted Cloud Burst

This is very light weight, a foam injection using a mold it would seem, then coated with primer. The surface was very smooth, took my latex and oil based paints perfectly.It would be beautiful in an entirely metallic paint, but I wanted something with more impact due to the ornate chandelier I have.This project took me 3 days but I am extremely detail oriented, I went back and fixed any overlap of paint that no one will ever see. I thought some people would like to see what one of these looks like in color, hope it helps make the detail more visible.I haven't installed it yet, waiting for the electrician to put up my lights, if I remember to I'll post an installed photo.

This medallion is GORGEOUS painted like I did it (see photo). I used metallic paints that I bought at Amazon (2 different golds, silver, bronze, pear green, and purple. I did not paint any base coat. It comes in pure white. It really adds to the look of the chandelier, which is from GraceLove-also bought at Amazon.

This product is lightweight and easy to paint. I love Ekena products. Here is the ceiling project that I bought this for.

Purchases medallion per Amazon suggestion To go with purchased chandelier. Canopy with chandelier is 4 and a half inch. Center cut out on medallion is 3and a half inches. Tried to enlarge center hole on medallion and ruined the lovely medallion. Amazon u owe me a medallion with a 4and one half inch center hole. U should notify unknowing customers about compatibility. This was not the mfg. fault. The product is excellent.

My wife painted it and definitely looks great.

I've never been one to post anything less than a great review but this it supposed to be the Bronze Blue Patina. I ordered two.Im very sorry to say it just looks like a sloppy teal watercolor paint poured over it. One of them isn't as horrid but it certainly doesn't look like the advertised Bronze Blue Metallic Patina. This is wretched looking. I will pay someone who knows what they're doing to repaint them for me.

This was such a great value for the money. Very light weight. Easy to install and easy to paint over. I needed something very quickly to add above a chandelier in my daughter’s bedroom for a room makeover. This was by far a great choice. Highly recommend. If you see my pics, the medallion may look smaller than it is only Bc it’s above a full size big chandelier that was once in a dining room. I’d say this is about “medium” in terms of sizing. It worked perfectly.

Could not be happier with this millwork. I’m changing what was a more contemporary TV room into a dining room, and this piece really helps change the mood I am very impressed by the high quality of the piece. It is well finished and nicely detailed. It is better than I expected for the price, and far better with it’s more solid construction than the vacuum formed plastic disks sold at Home Depot.A great product at a good price

I use this product to cover a very damaged plaster ceiling where many changes of light fittings have chopped up the ceiling and I would be installing a remote-controlled ceiling fan where the damage would have been left exposed. It was very light and easy to install using 'Liquid nails" and worked an absolute treat.

Can not wait when it will be installed in my dining room. But it looks gorgeous and I love it.

The details are incredible and very easy to install
