Surprisingly Accurate
I’m a stickler for accuracy and I wasn’t expecting too much from this weather station which replaced my trusty Accurite unit after 6 years. Setup was reasonably easy as was pairing between the sensor and display. I used lithium batteries in the sensor as they are best for cold weather operation. I then triple checked the temperature accuracy by comparing the Logia’s readings against a calibrated laboratory thermometer and to my surprise they read within 0.2 degrees F. of each other. Recently we had a rain come through which gave me the opportunity to check the accuracy of the rain indicator by comparing the Logia’s readings with those of four private stations near me that are connected to the Underground Weather site. The average of the four stations was exactly what the Logia read. On the downside the LCD display does not have a constant backlight so you can’t read the display from very far away and some of the graph numbers are quite small making reading difficult but all in all I’m very pleased with this little station.

Now in trash can
Final update: Had used for several months, but frequently got clogged w/ bird poop. Seller sent me new one. I added "spikes" to keep the birds off it. Rain totals were a fraction of others gauges nearby. About 6 weeks ago it quit working altogher. Now in trash can. Lasted about 5 months, only accuate for about 10 rain events despite the wet season.Update: I have had it nearly 2 months now, and in the last month the rain it measured was only about a third of other what rain gauges nearby measured. Often gets clogged, mainly with bird poop. Never had as many problems with a rain gauge this quickly. Dropping it to 2 stars, & thats because the indoor display makes up for it with a nice display.Origonal post:The best feature is being able to watch rainfall totals by the hour, day, week, month & year. Also a small on screen graph to show the increments (for the inside unit).Thermometer is accurate most of the time, but about 2 degrees to warm when in the direct afternoon sun. (I have other thermometers that are several degrees off when in partial or full sunlight.)The biggest flaw I have is that when the inside unit is trying intercept the time signal, reception from the outside unit is lost. Once the time signal intercept is finished, the signal from the outside unit is regained.Another option of watching rainfall totals is the current rate. While that feature would be handy during heavier rainfall, I have found past the current observation, the rate & hourly totals are the same number. Perhaps future editions of this product could change the rate to peak rainfall rate in the hourly recap.

Works great so far.
This unit combines an outdoor temperature sensor in the rain collector. Since this has to be out in the open to collect rain, the outside temperature reading is inaccurate when the sun is shing on the unit. The system seems to measure rain very accurately. I would give this a 4-star reading due to not having a separate outside temperature gauge. I have not had to contact tech support.

Gets Clogged
Have had it installed for ~ 60 days. Worked great for the first few rains, and then I noticed it was not registering the rain; signal strength is strong. Since we have not had any below freezing temperatures, I assumed the outside unit was clogged. Unfortunately, there is no way to open the outside unit and clean it, so I just banged it on the side and worked loose whatever was clogging it. Poured a cup of water through and heard the buckets pivot. We'll see how long this lasts. Would stink if the outside unit was difficult to access. Update: The top does come off by turning CC. The unit is leveled. Rain this weekend, so we'll see how it works in real situation.
