Exactly what I wanted in a hair paste. Good hold and leaves my hair with a nice texture once it dries. Only thing I’m not in love with is the smell. It’s not bad by any means but it’s not favorite smell either.

I have thin (and unfortunately, thinning) hair, so I like to use a matte fibre product to give my hair some more volume without making it too stiff. It's a nice trick for those of us with short and thinning hair to make it look like you have a bit more hair than you still do. Until now, I've always used Bed Head or American Crew, but I've found those two products will get very hard, almost silly putty-like, and difficult to use and apply, before I've finished with them. I was attracted to the cream texture of the Blackstone Paste and it didn't disappoint. It is soft and creamy and easy to apply. Also, it smells great. And it does thicken and provide some hold. However, it is a very light hold, so you have to work a little to figure out the right amount to use in order to actually get a thickening effect without weighing the hair down. If light hold is what your after, this would be perfect for you.If this stuff doesn't harden like other fibre pastes I've purchased, I'll update the review after a few months to say whether it does. It will be nice not to have to throw away half the container as I have had to do with other brands. But, given the lightness of the hold here, I may still be on a search for the perfect thickening fibre paste.

The men in my family love this product for their hair. I helps with thin, fine hair to control and makes it look thicker.

I had found a jar of this clear pomade at a local shop and when I ran out I was disappointed that the shop no longer carried this item. I turned to Amazon and found it here, so I don't have to be without. Oddly enough, I use this product on my beard to tame fly-aways and keep it looking neat and groomed. After I apply it I wait a few moments and comb it through and I'm able to go throughout my day without wispies becoming unruly.

it's good but almost completely scentless. that is bourbon and cedar. won't try the others now. it works well but feels greasy by next day.

The product is quality and works well to both add thickness and mold your air. I bought this in 2023 and the scent was very true to Sandalwood. I liked it a lot. Bought it recently and the scent is awful. They clearly reformulated the scent and it's like one of those over-the-top smell-nicey stores you walk past in a mall. It's terrible and it smells nothing like Sandalwood anymore. Bummer.
