The combination to my heavy duty programmable Masterlock no longer worked. I tried a couple steel cutting dremel bits that came included in the bit set, but they both shattered. I almost bought an angle grinder, but really only needed to use it once and am lacking space. I found this alternative cutting bit after some online searching. It cut through the thick steel in about 30 seconds. The bit is still in new condition and I'll be able to use it many more times if needed. I think I paid $20, but it's value is far more. Highly recommended for cutting any kind of metal!

Works great on steel and brass although the metal does get hotter than with the standard EZ-Lock wheels. It will cut aluminum, but it's slower than the fiber wheels.This is not a fiber wheel; it's made from steel with a diamond grit on the outer edge, so it won't wear down like the fiber wheels do.

This cutting disc is expensive but a bargain in terms of number broken discs cutting items. I have saved with 1 disc

Survived cutting multiple carbide end mills in half.

This was well worth the extra money over the standard discs. I needed to cut through some thin stainless steel bolts and was averaging one standard disc per 2 bolts. The Max Life disc went through about 20 of the same bolts and doesn't look like it's been used. Clean cuts and works perfectly

I had high hopes,but it didn’t come to be.first it is rated to last 10x longer than the base cutting disk,maybe but it broke halfway through one nut.also looking deep into the cost ,you can buy a 12 pack of the 2x cutting disks for the same amount.,which means you have over twice as many cuts as the one 10x disk.and if one or two break you have not lost all your money.

I purchase 4-1/2" cut off wheels regularly, and they are a fraction of the cost each. I guess you pay for the Dremel name here. Still a good product.

Working on restoring my 76 VW Super Beetle and have been stripping the rust from the rockers. My Dremel does a good job in some of the tight places and had bought several of the lesser cutoff wheels. They didn't hold up.This wheel eats through the metal very easily and quickly. It doesn't get too hot, doesn't wear down, works great. I would certainly buy another but- one is holding up just fine.

I bought it to cut model railway flex track.. It has worked really well for the 20 or 30 cuts made so far.. I’m very happy with the quality and price online..

Used to cut the inner race of a bearing off of a wheel hub. very durable and still reuseable.

Don’t waist on other metal cutting disks from dremel this will cut through any metal and will last for a long time, enjoy!

I 3D printed a tool to easily and repeatedly cut metal rods, and this cutting wheel works very well. It makes clean cuts, and can remove material very fast.

Doesn’t cut buy the thinner ones they cut much better
