Pretty in pink
Finer than salt crystals but coarser than table running salt, this Punjabi salt looks pretty in pink. All sorts of claims are made for its purity and efficacy which I cannot comment on. However because of the size of the crystals you can sprinkle it easily on to your food and a little goes a long way in saltiness. Looks good on the table.I prefer to take a low sodium salt to help my blood pressure but will use this sparingly as a condiment. My wife intends to try out a salt bath but that will go through the resealable pack rather quickly!

Great Quality Pink Salt For Cooking or Bathing
I’ve used bath salts before but I’ve never tried pink Himalayan salt so I was curious to see what it’s like. This one is by Faimos and comes in a plastic re-sealable bag with 500g of goodness. It’s “100% natural and unrefined premium pink salt” that can be used for cooking or bathing. This certainly seems like a great quality product judging by the brand’s comments on it, the packaging and the salt itself. It’s finer ground and I’ve tried a little as seasoning, which is a new experience! Being finer is easier unless you like to grind your salt. I prefer this as it’s quicker and easier to get what you want when you want it.I’ve used used some in the bath, but not the quantity the brand suggests. So they say to use 450-500g of the salt in a single bath, which most or all of the bag. I used half, or maybe less than half, in one bath and found it to be good enough for me. Pink salt is supposed to be detoxing and also good for muscle cramps as it balances electrolytes. It apparently also contains 84 or more trace minerals, so if you’re using it in food or as seasoning it should help support good nutrition.I’m really pleased with the salt and would use again. At the time of writing, a 500g bag is £4.79. I’ve paid the same before on the high street for basic bath salts so I think this is a decent enough price for fancier pink salt.

It's pink, Punjab salt
I may be a bit pedantic but contrary to popular belief and the advertising, this comes, or should come from the Punjab region of Pakistan. When first made popular it didn't sound good so the Himalayan bit was made up.You could say it's salt with impurities which give it the pink colour. It's also said that it actually tastes no different to ordinary salt, it's just the colour which changes our perception. But enough. To me it does taste different. It seems more 'salty'. This is packed in a resealable pouch which does seal well. I have been using this type of salt for years and this is a good example. You can pay a lot for it and this is priced really well. Can certainly recommend, don't go back to 'table salt'.
