Nice fits without cutting and tracing wires.
I've read some complaints about the cost, but tapping these computer monitored harnesses are a pain in the unmentionable part of your choice. This product plugs right in to the factory harness, and is completely reversible. The only thing that holds back the 5th star, is that the dash lamp out light came on after the installation even though all the lights are working. I have never had that light come on before and read that there are lots of triggers for it. So, I am not really holding it against Curt, I just wish they had some fix for it. I probably should have disconnected the battery before starting. If that was in the instructions I missed it. All the lights are working. There is plenty of wire to install the harness in out of the way spaces, and more than enough wire on the flat 4 wire connector . I just haven't figured out how to get the "lamp out" warning to turn off yet. One of the best reasons to buy these auxiliary harnesses are to avoid all the gremlins that reside in the factory computers looking for any reason to trigger trouble codes. Short of it is that from the outside all the lights are fine. Johnny law isn't likely to pull me over because of a dash warning, at lest outside of California. This harness cured a problem I was having with my factory tow harness, which really might be related to the lamp out message even through it didn't show before. The factory harness was not lighting the right tail light on any trailer even through the truck taillight worked fine. I've given a long description because I wanted to let people know that this is a clean way to replace faulty factory wiring.

Easy to install and works just as it's supposed to - for a while
Easy to install and works just as it's supposed to. A couple of tips: The white ground on the Curt harness needs a good solid connection to the frame, so be sure the spot where you connect it is free of rust, paint, etc. I had some trouble getting the red locking tab loose from the connectors that Dodge uses on the taillight assembly. It's a Dodge issue, not a Curt issue, or maybe it's just me. Once you get the tab out, it's easy to get them apart, and plug in the Curt harness. I used dielectric grease on the connections just because it's cheap insurance.Update May 2021: I have gone through three of these since my original purchase. Curt has been good about replacing the unit, so I'm still giving three stars. But you shouldn't have to replace a trailer light controller every two years, so I'm going to try a Hopkins and see how it holds up.

Drill a hole for the grounding wire
Works good install self explanatory does require you to ground it to the truck ,, the self tapper included broke when trying to attach to frame of truck , I used harbor freight self tapper screw. I have a 02 ram 1500 .

lasted 5 months in New England.
Was on the truck for 5 months, before it failed. Everything was properly installed, and the rubber cover was properly seated over the rear trailer connector, but after 5 short months the rear connector had completely corroded, and caused a short somewhere in the unit. Brakes, and either blinker would give the lamp out warning on the dash, and the left brake light would pulse in tandem with the right blinker. removed the harness, and my lights all went back to normal.1 star instead of 2 because it was really easy to install and only took about 5 minutes, the most of which was spent securing the wires under the truck. If you don't have to deal with New England snow and salt, this might hold up fairly well for you.

Works great.
A bit expensive but just what I need to get my trailer light connection completed. Works great.
