A really fun family game!
We are a big gaming family, and we have quite a few items in our collection. This is a really fun family game with a medium length of play. (Longer than Uno or Exploding Kittens, but WAY shorter than Monopoly.) I enjoy the different strategies with the upgrades and the race for points. The way the mountain turns out marbles is really innovative. I do find that when you play with 4 players, you get a lot of the red Fate marbles... which sometimes can be frustrating, but it also moves the game along. The critics give this game a bad wrap for the difficulty in spinning out the marbles, but we find it only a minor annoyance. The game itself is well-constructed, well-planned, and just good fun to play with younger and older kids. This will definitely go into our permanent collection!

This is actually very fun and original game!
We love Disneyland! We have the Haunted Mansion Game as 3 teenagers still love that ride and wanted the game. So this year we got this game being that one was so good and we went to Disneyland Paris (which has the best version of this ride anywhere!!!) and this game is actually so unique and clever. We had such a great time on our first try. Wish could be up to 6 players, but it’s a max of 4. Will enjoy for years!PS I bought the pre-owned game in “like new” condition and it was pristine, like never played condition and was half the price and shipped directly from Amazon, so rec that too!!

Disney fan, fun game
If your a Disney fan you will like this game. There are a few Disney ride games out there. I have 3 of them (Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, and this one). I have 45 games in my collection and this has a unquie theme.Your moving mine carts around a track to mine for gold and ore. You are building up your deck of cards that you use to mine for the gold and ore. There is a plastic mountain that you turn that spits out marbles (gold and ore). You have to play on a level surface or all the marbles will roll to one side. Our game was mailed fine with no problems but have read others were warped. I would get a replacement if the board is warped. It will alter the game and make it frustrating. This game is a great addition to my collection.

3.5 stars What are the pieces made of??
Who knows what plastic is used?! Sadly I do think it's important to deduct a star minimum for this because it's flimsy, makes game play annoying, AND is probably toxic PVC.We have lead and cadmium etc in our daily lives, I know you can't always avoid it. Considering this did not stink, it's a small AMT of plastic, and game pieces vs....a sofa or something... I'll deal. But it's a shame because the company manufacturing it COULD do better in a cost effective way. The mine is some kind of cheap LDPE or something... At least the other parts are mostly cardboard. If not for the cheap factor with the main pieces, mountain, and mine... I'd rate 5 stars. The game itself is really fun! We don't usually play board games in close succession like we have this one. (Once a week since arrival.) Stubborn husband didn't watch the set up video. I think it would've helped. The paper instructions are pretty bad. But by the middle of the first game we had a few light bulb moments and then again the second time....we DID make up some of our own rules too because it wasn't specific about Do's and Don'ts for some things. That's one of the things I like about it; a LOT of freedom for creative house rules. I think they could add a little bonus section/paper where one could write down house rules. This seems made for that. For the starting supply cards we didn't notice the eight color-coded supply cards for each player (matching train & car). Seems that keeps it more fair.Initially the buff cards seemed poorly priced (cheaper seemed better) until the second game we started to understand. Lol 😆 No one bought town shares the first go, but the second game we had a lot- so the games can really vary game to game.Suprising level of strategy can go into it, but it's also simple enough for young ones. Our disabled 11 year old can play with some help. Starts out a bit overwhelming but quickly you're racing for a rich vein! LolEnding the game is hard for us, it gets addicting. But you can easily keep going (1+ rounds more than instructed) if you please. Or make up your own stipulations of course. We like the ride of course, but also I had to get it since on sale. And this homeschool year we had just wrapped up our WestWard Expansion course - Gold Rush, Continental Rail Road ...conversations ensue.🤠 🧨⛏️🚂

The "Wildest" Strategy Game
My family are big fans of the Disney Parks. We're planning a trip to WDW this winter and I bought this to announce our trip to them. This game is FUN and very true to the attraction! In the game you're trying to gather marbles (Gold!) and convert them in to points. It's interesting how the marbles distribute - the mountain works great to randomly sends them down into the pools - and the movement around the mountain/gameboard can be really swift so you can get to the ones you want.My 12 year old is very good at strategy games, and really figured out the way to build up his train over the course of the game to become more powerful. Next time I play, I'm doing that!Overall: Great gift of a light family "strategy" style game.

Surprising Hit
I expected some phoned in game with basic boring rules based loosely on my favorite ride at Disneyland so they could cash in on the popularity, but this was a great surprise. There was plenty of great strategic elements with multiple paths to success and just the right amount of randomness. I played it with family first, but can just as easily see my regular gaming group that's into more complex games having a good time with this one.
