Solid NVMe Adapter – Ideal for Breathing Life into Legacy Systems
Used this adapter to install a 480gb nvme as the primary boot drive in a Dell Precision 5810 via a PCIe x16 slot. No BIOS mods or tweaks needed—the drive was instantly recognized and bootable after a clean Windows install.Build quality is excellent. The PCB is clean, and the included aluminum heatsink makes solid contact with the SSD thanks to the thermal pad. Temps stay in check even under sustained read/write loads.Tested with both PCIe 3.0 and 4.0 drives—bandwidth is fully utilized depending on the slot and drive specs. Great for anyone retrofitting an older workstation with NVMe performance. Zero issues, plug-and-play, and the performance uplift is night and day.Highly recommend for enthusiasts upgrading older platforms.

Superb, simple, works as advertised
After trying another 'name brand' adapter which failed in first week took chance on this one due to folks posting pix of their crystal diskmark scores. Worked perfectly first time and getting great speed with a WD Black 2TB NVME: READ: 6526.00 | WRITE: 6478.45. Great price for something that works. Using in brand new PC with Win11 PRO 24H2 Gigabyte ice X870E mobo and 9800x3d, in 8x slot.

Compact and easy to assemble and use.
I bought this as a replacement to two different Sabrent M.2 to PCIe adapters and will never buy another Sabrent product. This is FAR easier to assemble, works flawlessly, and is nice and compact. Two small things to note for future buyers. If you use an M.2 SSD that is NOT 2280 sized, you need to unscrew the "spare bolt" from the left side of the card and screw that bold in to the hole for the size of the SSD you will be using. This wasn't super clear in the instructions. Also, the spring loaded screws seem a bit too big to fit through the heatsink holes. I had to use the two other plastic screws and the plastic nuts. Not really an issue per se, just kinda strange.

Easy to Install. Works as Native Component. Fast Speed
I do not really know why some people have so many problem with this little board. Or they just do not know what they are doing.I bought this one to clone my laptop M.2 SSD drive. I could have removed my motherboard M.2 drive and save $10. But it is good to have this device just in case I need it again. It is the new technology.I did not use the backplate (bracket) since I'll need to remove one slot plane on the case. It is perfect fine without it. I also did not bother to use the heatsink since this is a 20 minute job. I kept all these in the box just in case I need it again.I benchmark the SSD performance. My old DELL XPS has a native M.2 PCI3 3.0x2 SSD. This adaptor holds a Kioxia PCI3 4.0x4 SSD. The benchmark is very impressive. At this price, this adaptor is a keeper. Most of the M.2 SSDs are only to PCIex4. There is no need to go for PCIex8 or PCIex16.

Check your motherboard
Quick to set up and works right away!Side note: please dont make my mistake and (what I assume is other's as well), dont just expect max speed.Check your motherboard specs.Just because it has a PCIE 4.0 size lane does not mean it will run at those speeds. I have a Gigabyte B550 UD AC rev 1.2 that has 4 extra PCIE 4.0 expansion slots but they only support 3.0 Speeds and even that gets nailed to using 3.0x1 which is pretty much only making use of 1 pin. This dramtically affects your speeds. If you needs full speeds upgrade you motherboard or just stick to replacing your older SSD in an NVME M.2 slot in your mother board. For Gaming storage, this will still work just fine to expand storage with no noticable quality drop or extended loading times in my experience.

Perfect PCIe to NVMe board!
This is a nice little board and works great. Someone said its flimsy but it isnt at all. Comes with everything you need including two different mounting brackets and works great for the Samsung 990 pro NVMe with heatsink. Perfect paring!

Just what I needed, and at a price I like!
Works exactly as advertised. I know that should be the bare minimum, but these days...I wanted a mirrored boot drive for my proxmox server but my MB only has one m.2 slot - this worked perfectly. The MB sees it exactly like it does the native m.2.I also needed it to be very low profile as my CPU cooler (rotated 90 degrees on a server MB) overhangs the PCIe slot - again, this worked perfectly. I can angle the card in with just enough room.
